Flying... Here's the truth

My immersion comes from mounting up on a dragon I’ve earned to fly around the world like I used to for 8 years, right at max level. It was never a problem until Blizzard made it a problem. Not sure how anyone can argue immersion against flying in an established world of flying dragons.

Does anyone really care about texture in the sky other than Blizz haha? I think Blizz needs to re-organize priorities. BFA has broken classes, neglected professions, controversial gearing systems, and they focus on finishing textures in the sky by time gating flight? o.O

Too bad the rest of the Manson family doesn’t understand this

This is the same guy that actually said he doesn’t play wow for fun. :exploding_head::exploding_head:

You keep bringing this up like it’s some kind of profound point lol. I play WoW to feel RP sensations. I’m not moonguard level RP, I have never spoken in character, but I love feeling like I am the character on the screen and I love imagining that azeroth is real.

You keep bringing this up as if it’s profound, and you also keep bringing up how zooming around in the skies is so fun that it must be a profound thing too. The thing is though, nothing you have to say is profound. Everything you say boils down to this: FLYING IS FUN, FUN THINGS ARE FUN, LET ME FLY.

edit: Also, the moment I feel a game is tedious, I drop it. My time is WAY too valuable to waste grinding in a game I find tedious. Re-evaluate your choices in life.

I don’t think I’ll take any advice from someone that openly admits to not playing a game for fun.

Okay? Your loss LOL. I don’t think I’ll care about some random level 120 troll deciding to waste their life engaging in a game they consider tedious. It’s so ironic that you even play this game when you consider it to be in the state you think it is in, then go on to act like your criticism of me playing for deeper feelings than simple “fun” is anything more than verbal diarrhea.

I’ve been flying since about 2 weeks after 8.2 dropped. I’m having fun now. Being on the ground after completing PF part 1 is tedious because we’ve exhausted the content by then and there’s no reason to withhold flying after that.

Saying you play for any reason other than fun is just so ridiculous. If you’re playing because of some other “complex” reason maybe you should look into addiction counseling.

Exactly, it was only time gated for the sake of time gating.

Heck they even time gating it longer than they did in Legion.

If you’re having so much fun, stop complaining onthe forums. If flying is so fun, just enjoy it. You earned it.

You don’t sound like someone who is enjoying what they are doing.

Maybe I’m currently in a position where I can be on the internet but not be on the game. I will absolutely voice my opinion on flying until something changes. I’m not saying get rid of the whole pathfinder system but the ridiculous time gate is just that…ridiculous. I’ll stand by that until something changes or wow dies.

You already responded to my position in another thread. It’s basically just to make the window of the ground mount limited experience much longer, so that it’s not limited to people who join the expansion at release. It’s an important experience to preserve, and it is still quite significant to this day. It feels just as magic as vanilla did. Except people like you are flying around too, only it doesn’t feel hollow and envious like BC did. It’s not like there are rich and poor people now, there are accomplished people and unaccomplished people. If you do the work, you get to fly. It’s very fair.

It’s not fair because I had the work done early yet I couldn’t fly. Me flying doesn’t have any impact on someone still trying to get pathfinder. Especially part 1.

If someone cared about getting it early they would play the game and get it.

The truth is that whether you can fly or not you can achieve everything you need to do in game regardless if you play the game for raiding of battle pets.

Stop complaining

Huge difference from when Metzen, Morhaime, and Pearce were with the company. The way Blizzard has been lead since their departure is a night and day difference. Seems like what remains are shills for the Activision cash grab department.

Which is completely obvious.

I was pretty proud when i finished P1 and when P2 arrived I couldn’t even finish 2-3 quests a day, first of all because i hate both zone and second of all because its boring as. And then I said, F it, im not gonna fly this year again. End of story

If it would be rep until honored everyone would make a effort for sure and no one or so would complain

Which is staying on the ground when flying is available is a viable option. The people against flying just lack the self control to actually play the way they claim is more fun.

I agree Tessa, there’s a striking difference between then and now. It saddens me, and many others I’m sure too.

Out of spite they call it a “compromise” that we still have it, because that makes sense  . People enjoy flying. Fun detected. Fun removed.
