This would be reasonable.
Honestly, I think thatâs a pretty solid idea⌠it gives multiple outlets and sets expectation.
All comes back to this. As someone who pugs an enormous amount of keys every season and fails probably more than half of them, I see a disproportionately low amount of toxicity. Iâm doing high keys, like in and around title range, and people know things can go wrong, they know someone might mess up.
But most importantly, they know the guy who bricked your key yesterday could be the guy you time your highest ever key with a few days later. How do they know this? Because theyve been that guy too. Nobodyâs slate is clean of mistakes, and thatâs fine.
It really does feel like a fantasy land seeing it written down like that I admit. It just disappoints me so much how much worse it is lower down, and how people have built this expectation (Especially on GD) that the âhigher endâ or âeliteâ are where the toxicity is.
I guess Iâm out of touch on this subject honestly⌠I donât pug enough to see all the issues and the reasoning behind them to understand it completely from that perspective.
Tldr: Gameâs way more fun when everyoneâs there for the same reasons, and everyone recognises nobodyâs perfect.
M+ does not require a specific type of player. M+ is relatively easy when you use the tools given to you to learn the fights, learn your class, and anticipate outgoing damage. Every single expansion, since the inception of mythic dungeons, thereâs been a portion of bad players that rush to the forums and cry about other players in mythic dungeons. The truth is if you are one of these players maybe mythic + isnât for you. If you want every single aspect of the game to be a boring slog then terrific Iâve got some news for you. Go play classic. Itâs full of easy content that provides virtually no real challenge. If you want to be a mediocre player in retail thatâs also fine. However if you want to do end game content expect you will need to put a little effort in to learn your class and learn some mechanics.
Unironically this incorporates the worst ideas Iâve seen for M+ and dials them up to 11.
Oh, I love the game exactly how I play it. Run Follower Dungeons and Delves to level, then run normal with friends/guild, then Heroics with friends/guild. Cause all of these are not busted or filled with entitled complainers. If I want to raid, I hop into LFR to learn and see the content, and when it is done, I am done.
I come back the following expansion for the Normal/Heroic/Mythic modes for the achieves only. If I want a challenge in my video gaming entertainment, I will load up Tetris on Hard Mode. Iâm here to relax and enjoy my solo RPG experience. I gave up M+ in Shadowlands and have not been a FT heroic raider since Wrath. Too much hamster wheel, not enough habi-trails. Now Azeroth is my playground.
This is actually a pretty common viewpoint across basically all games I play. And generally speaking, âeliteâ is code for anyone who performs better than the person in question, despite them insisting they are referring to only the âtop 1%.â
There have been so many changes to both systems since the last time you seriously invested in them, itâs hard to seriously consider your ideas for how to improve the systems. If you donât want the hamster wheel, that certainly hasnât changed and I am not going to try to talk you back into the modes. But the changes youâre proposing to M+ donât really make sense, and would ruin the mode for those of us who are willing to run the wheel.
Holy frijoles how long is it going to take before the game just keeps track of how many times a person has left a key?
Iâm not worried about the âstandardsâ placed on opinions by other posters. I simply wanted my idea on the record, as a suggestion. Blizz looks through the forums a lot for inspiration on changes. So âthings have changedâ, or âthis idea sucksâ, or âyou donât even do M+ anymoreâ all have very little impact on me, or my opinion. People are welcome to theirs. I shared mine. Whatâs hilarious is people are so threatened by an idea in a thread I had abandoned 3 days ago, they brought it back to page one. I was over it. Still kinda am. But if someone tags me, I politely respond.
Im confused because seeing you post proves that you can push buttons on your keyboard. Doing mythic plus requires pushing buttons on a keyboard too so whats the issue?
Well, captain passive aggressive trolling, this was not for me. This was for the 8,116 threads of people complaining about M+. I have not done it since SL. Although, had you read more than the title, you would have known that.
See youre pushing keyboard buttons you got this dude i believe in and love you!!!
Youâre right, you are welcome to your opinion. But in the case of someone who, by their own admission, hasnât played a form of content recently, that opinion shouldnât be treated as something those players who are enjoying the content want to see. I wonât mince words here - your suggestions would ruin M+. Not because of the intention of your suggestion, but because of the collateral damage that would result. And since you arenât even playing it, you wouldnât even suffer the consequences.
So while you are entitled to your opinion, so am I. And my opinion is that someone who gave up M+ for a reason that isnât even remotely addressed by the suggestion shouldnât be listened to on the subject of M+.
Love you too, just feel bad your profile pic looks like the Wish version of Saurfang.
Yep. Still donât care. Have a nice day.
All these threads about Mythic+ from people who canât accept what it is. I feel your pain but I think the effort is just useless.
Youâll never get them to change. They will always want it to be elitist e-sport tryhard content. Ion bullies people who makes mistakes and he likes when others treat people that way too. They probably laughed and smugly smirked condescendingly when installing Challengerâs Peril , knowing how much it will annoy gamers and piss people off. They donât care. They want it to be a toxic elitist mess. They want to be sadistic, and they want the players to be masochistic.
The only way to change is to cancel your account over it, get enough people do to the same perhaps (If itâs possible) and maybe they would be forced to create a new endgame system for dungeons that isnât this wannabe MoBA e-sport crap, yet I think itâs clear thatâs what they want delves to be now. They will never truly make the game good like you want but they would at least make a deal like they did with delves. Youâre never going to change them or stop them from being elitists and patronizing money hungry narcissistic bullies.
Hey you looked at the character creation screen and though yea that werewolf is the right choice, dont throw stones in that glass house but i love you and believe in you its like $20 to change ur race
I know they wonât change. If they did, I might give M+ a go again in the future. But my heart rests with solo content, and RP servers. I am content to just play. They are here to make a profit, and thatâs fine. I just felt like throwing my two cents in the ring. Also, I wish they would let us use cropped, ingame screen shots for our profile pics. MMO-C lets you use almost anything, but I would gladly snap a pic of my Gilnean in this gear, instead of my Worgen.
As soon as they unlock Gnome Druids in Midnight, I am spending that money. Trust me! (I have 5 characters ready to become Gnomes and Mechagnomes.
âŚeww, i have lost my faith in you.
