3 people group and its gg, its the worst system ive had people hard grief groups wipe us intentionally and i get kicked cause they have friends in their group. i got my 2nd deserter today because a hunter kept pulling and i asked him to do dps cause i 3-4x his damage and igot kicked. If your not going to regulate the kick system stop giving us deserter its dumb.
You can skip a trash pack get kicked, you can pull a boss they dont want pulled you get kicked. its fing ridiculous stop pandering to groups of friends. your basically allowing in game bullying and at this rate i might have to find a lawyer from all the stress of trying to do good and you allowing bad people to take advantage sorry not sorry for playing that card we all know blizz’s lawsuit history.
So when an epic boe dropped and some dude got kicked before the roll went out its fair and working as intended? grow a brain.
@Midnightpurp DOnt have to troll, just have to contest them a item on loot they want. Derp, small brain replies clearly. Are you a dk in tol vir without trinket? kicked.
I wouldn’t say “troll” but I would agree there’s three…they gonna kick for whatever. Best to just move along. Also… idc if I get kicked. I have the old school, “you pull it, you kill it” mentality. Miscue, understandable. Consistent pulling…yeah you’re on your own.
Why do we get deserter then? Obviously Blizzard sees value in punishing a player for getting kicked, but they turn a blind eye to those abusing the system. Nothing to do with emotion: Just a flawed and unpoliced aspect of group play that is outdated and needs to go.
I haven’t had a single “group taken hostage”, and I’ve done 75+ heroics over the past two weeks.
I have been kicked just to be trolled. I have seen players kicked (even with me voting no) just for being new.
Regardless, you can fix this just by removing deserter.
For loot kicking you’d need to implement a report feature. It isn’t hard to look in logs and see when an item dropped versus when a player was kicked.
This is old lore from the before times. Having played since before and during that time, this change was needed.
Healers and Tanks: “Kick me or we wait. I don’t wanna do X dungeon”.
Punishment is a great way of looking at it. You did wrong, so you got kicked. So fix your mistake and requeue after your debuff goes away. Next time you’ll consider the consequences of queueing solo in a multiplayer game thats designed to build friendships, not a solo player game.
I’m not sure calling me a deserter when I haven’t deserted is working as intended. I was kicked. Forced out. I didn’t abandon the group. If anything, the ones who kicked me were the ones abandoning the concept of the original group.
Like I said before, I don’t mind being kicked. The game is rigged so that guildies can harm people, fine. But why do I get locked out of dungeons for 30 mins? I should be able to just relist.
And it’s not even a well-thought punishment. Not getting the valor points at the end of the dungeon should be punishment enough.
No way! A sensible idea! This is the internet, man! What are you doing here with logic and well-thought out ideas?
Yes, they also made the game harder than it is right now. They changed it so much that people just grab mobs and aoe in heroics now, so it’s not like they’re keeping everything pristine. So they can very well remove the deserter thing.
So kick him.
Deluded at best, crazy at worse. Your comment assumes there is no ill intent from those who kick. You assume it’s always the booted person’s fault when we clearly know that people get kicked just so they don’t get the loot a guildie wants.
Actually it assumes exactly that. We are at war with each other on all sides. One can never be to safe and always look for a battle buddy or two to cover ones own tail.
Friendly reminder that Bloomsday, the dude above taking up for the kick system, got about 9 thousand of his post count trolling everyone for a year trying to convince us that the game didn’t need RDF. (It did). The dude is just a contrarian for the sake of getting off on annoying others.
