For some weeks now the Era store has been broken. Please fix it so that people can play where they want to, especially now since the Era population is shifting. Thank you.

the era store with all its lack of character transfers is working as intended 
Nonsense, we had transfers for years, it was broken by accident due to Fresh.

They said they eliminated transfers for Era. Dont worry tho, era population grows at a steady rate with peaks and valley along the way. Right now we’re starting to grow slowly again after the most recent dip.

Why would you need to xfer in era?
Either youre on the PvP cluster or the PvE cluster…
PvE cant xfer to PvP soooooo

Happy to distill the various reason posted here as to why players from every realm are asking for the Paid Transfer Service that’s existed since 2021 to return:
- Players on Whitemane who want to go to a PVE realm
- Players on Mankirk who want to go to a more populated realm with their 60s (btw PvE could transfer to PvP on Era for the last 3 years)
- Players on Deviate Delight (unclustered RP PvP) who want to get off their dead server now that the streamers abandoned it
- Players who want to join us on Grobbulus RP PvP and can no long pay to xfer there
I’d be happy if they made it free, but the reality is they have players from every realm and cluster in Era asking for the three+ year old service to return.

they need to make name changes available at least for the new realms so when tbc roles out people that want their mains to be pallys/shamans can use their main names

It’s not broken; it was deliberately disabled.
You really think they deliberately removed it? I guess I can’t blame you for taking their word at face value. I suppose you also believe the same blue post that states they removed it to protect us from the “money trap”… because Activi$on Blizzard is known for protecting our wallets 
I guess they also deliberately shipped SoD changes to Era then made an about face change when players realized, informed them, tried to spin it as “we did it deliberately thought druids wanted polearms and look at this shiny new world buff you got see it was on purpose”, then reverted that once they accepted their mistake.
These changes are all due to incompetence and them merging the clients for Era, SoD, and Classic. They removed paid transfers for anniversary, which impacted era, then when someone caught on and informed them, a QA rep stated it was done to protect us from the “money trap”… sure… sure…

Maybe. I’m just stating Blizz’s official stance. But incompetence wouldn’t surprise me.

But regardless, they are gone, and people want them back. Deliberate change or not! I don’t see the harm in them personally with appropriate cooldowns. But of course if they made them Free Character Moves, in line with the money trap rhetoric… even better.

Tell that to my three Whitemane toons I leveled on Mankrik and paid to transfer over. I realize it wasn’t that way in Vanilla, but it was until recently on Era.
Also, some used intra-cluster transfers as a way to accomplish a name change- just create a level 1 with the same name on the destination server and it will prompt you to change the name.

whitemane era starting zones have like 5-10 people in em currently. it’s a good number
Jarl is correct, I don’t believe the change was on purpose. To illustrate the point, free transfers off of Grobb to WM are still in the shop. Curious…
