I’m having the same issue tried all the 225+ fishing open water spots, no fish got away and no loot when the loot table appears. Fishing still levels up and fishing in pools I catch fish just fine. Also last night for a few hours I was able to Open water fish in Tanaris after it was bugged for me on Jageuro Isle in Stranglethorn.
Still broken in Feralas, Azshara at 11:22am server time.
Yup after todays update at 11:07pm server still no fish
Days of it being like this and no blue post…

Works after 12 server time for me
Yup wanted to wait until after 12 to test again because of the time of day affecting the loot tables and I can confirm that I am getting fish after midnight.
I look forward to fishing in 3 hours.
Has anyone tried 6AM to 12PM?
Worked Tuesday morning right before the Tuesday downtime at around 6:45 AM, didn’t work after when we got on at 9:00AM
Also checked again, still broken as of 10:45 PM PST
As of 12:13PM on Stalagg, I’m still getting the same issue of no fish in my loot box after being over lvl 300 with lures.
So I’m a regular to this thread with the same issue and have also been updating.
As of today, I got on at 6:00 AM PST and was able to fish in Tanaris. The population was ‘low’ on the server and I’m not using lures (I’m at 300).
As of 10:04 AM PST, I haven’t left the zone, haven’t logged off and just confirmed I am still able to get the loot window full of fish, I’m able to fish from the ocean, not a pool, and without a lure.
Makes me really think it’s a layering issue since I got on really early with low pop. I don’t profess to know how they are shuffling people between layers, but considering it’s still working…

It seems as if it’s been fixed now, i’m able to fish fine off the Tanaris coast on Atiesh.
I’m able to fish without an issue for a couple days now i think they fixed it.
I hate how it doesn’t the splash sound only to go all sorry no fish here.
I have been able to catch fish lately, hopefully it stays fixed

Seems broken again, tried off the coast of Tanaris just now
Same bug for me and another in hinterlands. tried toggling auto loot on and off. No addons for auto looting. fishing in pools, ocean, and ponds, same results. SCOOBY BLUE WHERE ARE YOU!!!
Broken again. I was catching fish in Azshara last night, probably around 100 fish. Fishing Level hit 219. This morning, loot box is empty, but I’ve dinged 4 more fishing levels (223) so far trying to see what’s going on…
Just got me too. Turned auto loot off, window is empty after reeling in. I was in the middle of doing the 225 quest, in Feralas
