Finding out your trust level

In theory someone could write a browser addon that displays it for people. Like you right click on someone’s avatar picture and from there it figures out the Trust Level and puts it on a tooltip or something.

True, unless someone has their profile set to private. But for the most part, people only want to know what their own trust level is at.

Also, you can figure out how many people are at each level as well if you know where to look.

How do I get to my summary page? Never mind, I found it.

Kind of ridiculous that we need to go through all this just to see our trust levels but ok, thanks for showing the way.

Thank you for the info, it’s exactly what I was looking for!

Well, I think it’s going to be a “lifetime” achievement for me to get to level three on these forums. I read a lot of the posts, however, I don’t post responses very often at all and probably won’t be as active as I once was on the old forums.

Wonderfully done. You tell us what “trust level” is, then you provide all of the detail a newb needs to get to the information, and including an example. Thanks so much.

Considering the volume needed to TL3 and how much you have already, you’re not terribly far off!

  • Must have visited at least 50% of last 100 days - Depending on some specific, behind the scenes timing, you should be :white_check_mark: (if not, very soon).
  • Must have replied to at least 10 different topics - I can’t see that, but with ~60 replies, likely it’s :white_check_mark: (If not, very close.)
  • Of topics created in the last 100 days, must have viewed 500 topics - ~120 to go!
  • Of posts created in the last 100 days, must have read 20,000 posts (both starting posts and replies) - ~800 more to go!
  • Must have received 20 likes, and given 30 likes. - :white_check_mark:
  • Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator) :grey_question: (I can’t see that)
  • Must not have been suspended (including forum suspensions or in-game account actions of any Blizzard game) :grey_question: (I can’t see that)

Assuming the hidden stuff is good to go, just a little more perusing and you should be TL3 in no time.

Thank you for letting me know the information and I’ll keep trudging along - haven’t ever been flagged or suspended from the forums or in-game. It does seem like it’s rather complex and I haven’t figured out how to see all of that information yet.

NP!

Most of it is in your character’s “Summary” feed.
(Click your portrait > “View Activity”, > Set it to “Summary” if it isn’t already.)

Well I’m at a loss as to how this is supposed to work. I’ve visited more than 50 days and I exceed the other requirements by miles, but I’m still not lvl3 yet.

Only possibility is you somehow failed one of these.

  • Must not have received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)
  • Must not have been suspended (including forum suspensions or in-game account actions of any Blizzard game)

I’ve never been suspended in all my years of playing Blizzard games and I’ve only ever received one official flag so I don’t know what else it could be.

Did you read a bunch of posts that were carried over from the old forums? That’s the only other thing I can think of.

Maybe. I never paid attention to the dates of threads besides a cursory glance to make sure it wasn’t a necro bump. I exceed the topics/posts read requirements by quite a bit though so it seems unlikely that would be the cause of my woes.

The only other thing I can think of is that for several months this character’s Armory link was missing from my profile page. No idea how or why that would have anything to do with Trust, but it’s all I’ve got at this point.

This Trust Level thing needs to be far more transparent!

The only things that aren’t transparent are the flags, and that won’t change. Flags are entirely an internal Blizzard system players don’t need access to.

I am surprised there isn’t a minimum requirement of creating topics, since that’s the one counter you have at zero, and could explain why you’re not TL3. But I don’t think thats a requirement.

I thought of that one too so I went through known level 3 posters and located one that also had zero topics created.
