New survey was just sent out regarding Dragonflight’s Trading Post being added to Classic. Thoughts on TCG items being included in Classic’s Trading Post (but not Retail’s of course)?

I think there are bigger concerns that need to be addressed right now, but I’m good with it, more content the better IMO.

i dont give a sh*t what some streamer has to say. his opinion does not shape mine. a poll is completely useless if they dont poll the community as a whole. picking and choosing who gets the survey is asinine. send it to everyone or send it to no one.

I would imagine that the survey isn’t random. I’d guess that since the Trading Post is a retail feature, those that play Classic only would immediately be biased against it, those that have or do play retail, however, know what it is and would have a better idea if it fits into Classic or not.
That video is not so much an opinion, he just goes through the questions so those who haven’t gotten a survey will know what’s in it.

For me, I don’t see how it can be so terrible if it’s just some cosmetics and nothing else. Gives raidloggers and collectors more things to do

Assuming we’d get DF’s Trading Post in Classic if it were added, I don’t see how this would benefit exclusively gold buyers? Because last time I checked you don’t need gold to /hug Magni Bronzebeard (close to an actual DF Trading Post objective) or killing Kael’thas in Magisters’ Terrace (literally from DF’s trading post). I neither play DF nor buy gold soooooo I really don’t see where you’re going with this.
The Trading Post does not equal the Auction House or Black Market Auction House. For the Trading Post, you complete free monthly objectives in order to save up to buy cosmetics from NPCs.

Hopefully they add RAF rewards to it as well, since it doesn’t seem like they’re going implement that system.
let me fill you in real fast. IT DOESNT FIT. the trading post is for cosmetics. or did i forgot that wotlk is the cosmetic expansion where everyone is fighting their hardest to get the coolest transmog? (i didnt… its not). if they think RDF doesnt fit into classic, this doesnt fit either.

What you did forget is that World of Warcraft is a game defined by the players; the game is your journey and what you make of it. Ask a PvPer and a PvE-er what their main goals are for WotLK and you’re bound to get different answers. Ask a casual and a hardcore what their goals are. Ask a collector and a minimalist what their goals are…
I see absolutely no harm with the implementation of this system if it’s purely for cosmetics.
if they re-implement RDF, sure. but if they refuse to add what was originally in the game and continue to add things that werent in classic. its no longer the same game. might as well just bring everything retail as it is currently, except lock it to WOTLK. thats basically whats happening.
Even if Blizz sent the poll to everyone I would not believe the results
Well there were a lot of cosmetics during wrath that we currently can’t get because we’re playing a bastardized version of wrath. The achievement and pet hunters out there are getting screwed over.
Why does a streamer who knows nothing about retail and its features, get surveys like this?
Makes sense that RDF, a feature that was implemented in the orginal WotLK, isn’t a good fit for the rerelease of the game and that the trading post, a feature that just made it into the retail version of the game several months ago, is.
