Warcraft has nothing to do with my opinion about final fantasy.
I opened final fantasy and walked around for abit and just didn’t like the art style. I don’t like the character models either.
Different people have different tastes. Final fantasy just doesnt appeal to me.
Sadly, there will be 0 adjustments as long as you have the same people at the head of the dev teams. These people have been making the choices to make wow into what it is currently and nothing will change unless those people are changed.
To be fair, on the villain thing, it feels like death wing has better motivation than the two crappy villains lined up for endwalker- both (basically) reused; one with “I need to set the world on fire to get my butt whooped by the main character cause that’s how it looked in the cinematic/my dream,” and “haha I want to kill everyone.”
(Yeah I’m just ranting because I spent my courtesan money for the week on gear to finish out the MSQ and am disappointed they’re what we got lol)
Holy canoli, Jesse Cox released a video back in June that goes over the differences of FFXIV vs WoW that I was not aware of. This was a good watch, for those interested.

Well, yes, we know about the first. To some his very simplistic desire and motivation is refreshing after Heavensward and Shadowbringers, as in, it is a fresh detour to have a ‘villain’ rather than an ‘antagonist’.
As for the latter, isn’t he a little too theatrical? As for another little funfact, his name refers to another character with a similar name but different title ‘The Protector’.

Fair enough on the first one, the second yeah, really theatrical. Kinda hoping he does get in trouble for his constant “Ah yes, this failure I just did, it was terrible,” and the other guy rightfully being like, “Uh, do you want me to kill you, why are you bringing this up?” lol
Don’t they tell folks to post feedback about why they’re quitting?

I have been playing ff14 since 2014, so I am gonna help you out a little bit so you are not disappointed. Most of what you said is true, but some of it is very wrong.

Player Housing: Extremely rare and you should buy a lottery ticket if you manage to get a house. Apartments are available though, so I will give you that.

Clipping is just as bad, if not worse, than WoW.

They have the same lockouts WoW does, they just remove them towards the end of an expansion.

Housing is so bad in FFXIV.
You get enough Gil for a small house and then have to face off against 5-10 other folks who are at the placard. Half of them are using clicking bots or macros. It’s insane.

Also true, and one of the things I enjoy the most about it. Well coupled with the fact that there are 3 legitimate gearing paths: Raiding, Dungeons (via tomestones), and Crafting.

I’ve looked at FFXIV, and none of the classes appeal to me. If I can’t use bows and/ or guns and tame animal mobs, it isn’t a game for me. Glad you like it, OP, and I hope you have a good time there.

Arguably that’s the best part of FF14.
Also the environment for most of the players is super nice too.
I’ve been helped a lot by everyone in the dungeons.
Lastly everything being queable is freaking amazing.

Yeah I gave up looooooong ago on a house. It is slightly better now with the random timers on demolition so people don’t know exactly when a plot will be available. Also kinda worse though since you have to camp a plot for hours-3days waiting for the demolition to go through.
