Final fantasy 14 has solved player housing

What would player housing do for anyone? Have a place to sit? What advantages could player housing provide other than more forms of mini games? Is it really that big of a deal?

My confusion here is how FF14 handles housing in a way that doesn’t seem to be permanent. In my opinion, it shouldn’t get rid of the house you had because you wern’t logged in for some time. If we had that, we wouldn’t be in the place to have apartments.

The only person who i see making the irl comparisons is you. And you’ve been forcing it ever since just to argue because… somebody was confused on what the terms meant for somebody who is semi familar with FF14? Thus you think they are anti-housing for some reason? That’s really werid you’re being defensive about it. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Anyways, if you’ve actually read my comment, you would know that the term “Player” doesn’t refer to real life in any capacity on this topic. One particular example where owning a place like a house vs an Apartment makes a difference in a video game is something like The Sims, where the later restricts you on building too much as well certain things to buy, like the former gives you total freedom to do as you wish. And you’ve established the differences pretty early on this topic tho.

That doesn’t really answer my question, because it’s circular, nor i haven’t said anything about real life. Please re-read the comment and try again.

Gee, it’s not like i’ve openly admit to being confused to post… :cup_with_straw:

I’l tell you what, you take your own advice on this, and i will consider it. Because i’m a little skeptical on you knowing player housing now given how overly defensive you’re being. Not to just me but, to others i’ve noticed… You’re sort of lashing out to other people… over 200+ comments…

Mate, if you make a forum post telling people what you want for a game, and get angry over people not agreeing with you, or… heaven forbid be confused what’s going on, then that’s kind of on you here.

We’re lucky wow even lived as long as it did. 20 years is insane.
I remember starting wow at the 8 year mark and doomers were saying it was over.
Someday like, the 40th anniversary maybe lol.

its said at every expansion i say 20 more years, or maybe a wow 2

except in their system the housing units located in apartments buildings are called apartments and are not taken from you under any circumstance. you said

with regards to apartments. which is not the case in the game i am discussing. i know this is hard for you and you just want to post random vids and gifs to think you are cool. the unit in their housing system in an apartment building is called an apartment and it is permanent and has no restrictions

I would again like to throw out that the XIV interior upgrading will not effect apartments and this thread is based on a false premise.

they still have house upgrading while we are stuck with garrisons

WoW player housing would be just like garrisons but with furniture inside a building. A selection of items maybe suiting to a couple different aesthetics with an anchor system.

Disregarding any circular argument you’ve said… I mean, you might as well tell me “Well don’t you know Fire trucks are red?” over and over…

I’m going to assume you don’t know what Sarcasm is, so i’l spell it out.

I dislike FF14’s player “housing” system where it has to be temporary and if you log off for a good amount of time, it goes back to sale. Despite the fact it also had a pretty hard way of buying houses.

Giving us Apartments which functions differently from houses, doesn’t address the orgrinal problems with the houses if the houses are still temporary to begin with. We shouldn’t need to have apartments.

If i were to compare to other games i think it did it right or decently, it would be GTA Online. Despite having “appartments”, they act the same as houses: permament. At least change how the “houses” work, and have them both be permament and easy to get. That’s the point you keep on intentionally missing.

What is that you don’t get that you think i’m talking about “ReAl LiFE”?.. This just sounds like you’re making excuses here.

How does my vids here make you this angry and belligerent?

One of the vids ain’t even aimed at you bro. Unless you felt the need to defend a million dollar corperation.

SWG did that earlier and better, only problem was it was a Sony game.

Everyone checks out my Idea Regarding:

slightly over 1 million aparetments in a game that has way more than 1 million players. FF14 has very much not solved the player housing problem.

Everquest 2 did however about 20 years ago. Everyone can get a house. Everyone can get multiple houses in multiple cities. Because, get this, a doorway is just a doorway and it can go to a whole list of different places that all have their own customize interiors.

FF14, frankly, has D tier housing compared to a 20 year old game. Wow could have had cool housing but devs decided against it.

it’s a shame xiv is a game for weird anime catgirl degenerates and boy band twinks otherwise it would probably more appealing to me in this day and age.

I want housing in WoW but they better not do this nonsensical BS.

People dont even react to emotes here in WoW and we want housing

Buh…buh…muh raid tier :frowning:

Apply for an SE dev position and see how difficult it is to program the game to handle more housing districts. Technology has its limits
