True. I felt the need to distinguish WoW from Classic and now TBC.
What turned me off was being forced to do the main quest line takes months i heard not something im willing to go tru yet.
WoW has great endgame and FF has great casual/chill content, IMO.
Theyāre both great games.
yeah the story is the main draw of the game. youāre basically playing a final fantasy game first, and an MMO second
I played FFXIV briefly and itās a good enough game. Aside from too much dialog, I have no problems with it. But, of course, the reason I started playing it was because I could be a Miqoāte. Itās basically the same reason I play Monster Hunter World - I have a Palico (cat sidekick). Iāll buy anything where a cat functions as a major part of the game.
99% of WoWās subscribers only subscribe to complain on the forums.
LOL i made my only char over there one myself male of course.
Thatās because roles play the same with different skill names, particularly healers. If WoW had that type of homogeneity, you guys would tear them a new one.
Final Fantasy scratches a different itch for me than WoW. I genuinely dislike most of the instanced content, but the world has so much to do and I absolutely love how the professions are basically classes in their own right. Iām far more a crafter than someone who likes the combat. It also provides player housing and forms of gardening and farming, so that has me interested.
Itās not a stellar game, but it definitely settled well in its niche. Though goodness their races are incredibly boring. And I honestly donāt buy any excuse that two of their races canāt wear 90% of the head pieces in game because thatās just lazy.
But pandas and vulperas are perfectly fine, eh?
Same. Male Miqoāte. Iām literally in it for the cat, not the weird hypersexualized anime weirdness.
I have a blackmage level 43 i never got to far before i got bored of it.
Absolutely not. Thatās why I donāt play retail. Well, itās one of many reasons I donāt play retail.
Ah. Fair. Carry on then, friend.
It doesnāt take that long, but ARR does drag on and on. The storylines of the expansions are really good IMO. The main antagonist in Shadowbringers was great and far more interesting than the Jailer.
Though, if you have zero interest in a RPG storyline, FFXIV probably isnāt for you.
People like pressing 1 button , then waiting 3 secs to press another ?
If you like that , u will like FF
FFXIV lore is even more garbage than current WoWās, and has been like that since the beginning. Nah.
Itās patch one for crying out loud. The whole point of the jailer is that we donāt know much about him still.
Thereās actually a lot of weaving possible in the later levels of a jobs. Lots of ability off of global cooldown.
Thatās what I was told but if I have to spend hours and hours before that , count me out .
Both introduced a brand new villian. This āheās new we donāt know anything about himā honestly, is just lazy storytelling. Sure, a sense of mystery is all fine and dandy, but there is no depth to the Jailer. Heās just a āmonster of the weekā character.
