Maybe I’m just so used to FFXIV but I didn’t even last 20 minutes into that game, just wanted to see what all the hype was about, it is garbage compared to FFXIV. All those who left to play WoW I guarantee will come back.

I can’t believe I spent close to an 1 hour responding to pure tomfoolery.
They’re both bad. Play some Rimworld til New World and get in on a new MMO again. Starting with the initial group of players in an MMO is much more fun than grinning and bearing a bad MMO. And Rimworld is better than MMO chores.
I’m trying to finish the story in FFXIV. I have some weird feeling of obligation to complete all things final fantasy.
People have absolutely no idea what weeb even means. They think that just because something comes from Asia, it’s “weeb.” As an Asian, it’s pretty offensive. Hell, I was about to curse someone out in my guilds raid for saying mooshu flu. For all those that have absolutely no idea what a weeb is, yet use the term, it’s a westerner that is so obsessed with Japanese culture and even goes as far as literally renouncing their own background, that they believe that they are Japanese. Has absolutely nothing to do with watching anime or anything like that.

The fact that the OP’s post was flagged tells you how bad Blizzard is at allowing forum posters to decide what should or should not be on the forums.
To be fair, he did start this thread with the intention of pissing people off. This forum is no longer the World of Warcraft general forum. It’s the FFXIV general forum.

Clearly you haven’t played dark souls 2, as that is exactly what you can do.

I think OP did this just for baits, but still is a really weak take on their behalf. If anything should be banned on giving game reviews forever.
Well I am a WoW and FFXIV fan so how do you counter that?
On what level though? They’re practically about the same at this point minus WoW cons that’s been polluting the game. If it’s about pvp then yeah WoW pvp is above FFXIV, but other areas is debatable by a lot. You don’t need alts in FFXIV so that’s something above WoW unless you’re choosing a race for fun just to have an alt. The only sole reason I can place WoW over FFXIV is because I have been dedicated to the game, but other than that point.
FFXIV has stuff that’s reign over WoW easily like you have to remember FFXIV’s developers played WoW around Cataclysm - MoP to gain insight. The game has been a dark horse for awhile now. It just so happen WoW got carried away with their title hence why things kept on slipping years prior to this moment. I can say this because I play both games dungeon and raiding so I know the comparison between the two especially who succeeds in the race.
Depends on the next expansion what’s being changed. If the next expansion focuses on another systematic cycle then no one would be bother with it. Sure they’ll come back for the initial launch and then leave within the next month like they do in every time.
