This whole thread is about personal preferences. Some people don’t like other peoples’ preferences and opinions. That being said, I think the OP created this thread to rile people up.

In what way are they Asian-style? That they’re more realistic (in terms of body shape and trying to create more realistic skin and the like), rather than cartoony and stylized like WoW? As for the environment, it gets way better once you leave the content that is about 12 years old. It’s rather unfair to talk about that when you aren’t comparing it to things like Wrath. Plus, the diversity of design in the zones is wild in FFXIV, whereas WoW has kind of fallen into a slump where the zones are just… there. The diversity of design piqued in TBC.
The changing clothes is actually not bad at all. It means that gear intended for jobs is more exclusive, and you have less competition from people in many cases (especially as DRG/NIN, which has its own sets for now), and with the armoury chest giving 35 extra storage slots for each piece of gear you really don’t have to worry at all. Plus gatherers all share gear outside the tools, same with crafters, unless you go for the non-crafted gear.

I mean, the main reason I think the OP is a troll is they decided everything about FFXIV is garbage after apparently only playing it for 20 minutes.
I mean, if you don’t like it that’s fine, but it’s hard to take someone serious when they call a whole game garbage after 20 minutes.

They wouldn’t be able to stay long due to being banned or ostracized.
I actually met a self-admitted WoW refugee in a roulette and they were pretty awful in terms of being toxic to people. It reminded me of the worst examples in LFD/LFR.
There are preferences, and then there’s quality of design. FFXIV’s systems are getting better and the writing is far superior. WoW is not, and the dev team is condescending and arrogant. They think artifact power, azerite power, corruptions, and chains of dominations are good systems and defend it from the start.

Muh graphic! Yeah yeah, everytime people compare WoW Graphic with other high graphic MMO such as Korean mmo, people would shill and say It not about graphic it about gameplay.
What about it? Wow Character is just as lame as any other MMO Character because they are not real.
This just show how you never play FFXIV, plus people like who only play WoW will never understand anything about other MMO as compare to those who actually play different MMO as well as wow.
LMAO It not that FFXIV going to beat wow, it just that WOW literally choose to give their costumer to FFXIV while beating their game to the ground.

FFXIV graphics look a little anime ish.
Like I already stated, this is a preference thing. You can argue with them all you want. People like what they like and that’s ok.

To be fair this is very rare in FFXIV. People know the consequences.
It depends what you’re looking at. Yeah, the catgirls can be a bit, “anime-ish” in that they’re a cutesy ideal. But that’s not a bad thing. Then you have things like highlanders, which aren’t the same kind of design.
As I also said, there’s preference and then there’s a difference in quality of design. WoW’s is flawed from its core due to its arrogant and condescending dev team which ignores feedback and releases broken systems nobody likes and then later says that it was a good system.

Is it, “preference and opinion” that bad design is bad? Really? So you think the Ford Pinto having problems with fire due to bad design was just, “preference and opinion”? Because that’s exactly the kind of thing WoW is having issues with right now.

Well, they look like barbie dolls to me with their little pointed chins, long necks and very long legs. I dont know how you can say they are realistic - they are classic extenuated extremes.
I did say I recognise the older WoW content is not great. We are talking about a game using almost 20 year old graphics.
Call me a fuddyduddy (though not where I can shoot you in the knees) but I dont really get why you need to have crafting gear at all. Why put it in at all if it makes no difference?
I say again - this is purely my subjective take. I tried it for a few weeks, I didnt care for it. I was playing through my dislike rather than not noticing it, and thats not the way to enjoy a game.
Once again, that is just your opinion. Are you that arrogant to not understand that? You do know there are people who like the current design of the game. They’re wrong and you are right?

FF14 is good actually but I cleared all the content so I’m just waiting for Endwalker.
Right now I’m playing MGSV and South Park: Fractured But Whole. And I have like 15 other games that I’ll play until Endwalker comes out.
WoW sub is up soon and I’ll be out of here for a while. But I’m not going to FF14. Just playing other games.
