It’s a little weeb-y. But it’s nowhere near the same level as most Japanese games, and it’s far easier for traditional western players to actually enjoy it.

Exactly!! I mean why would someone playing ff14 be on the WoW forums lol!!! These are just trolls trying to take down WoW…. No one on the replies has said anything good or why ff14 is better, cause all those replying are WoW players not ff14 users, bunch of trolls but the WoW community that still play this game and never left will not be overtaken and stepped on by ff14 trolls!!!
I never said it was. However, the game is developed by a Japanese company and looks a lot like all the other games that come out of Japan. When people call it a weeb game that is what they are referring too.
Then they are idiots. A Japanese game made by Japanese developers and published by a Japanese company can’t be a weeb game. The people that might play it could be weebs, but the game itself literally can’t be.

Been playing wow for 14 years. Starting quest for wow (auto attacking boars) for 20 mins is worst than FF14.

No I am pretty sure they are telling you how risiculous you are being.
You can play two games. I play TBCC and FF14.
We don’t have to try anything, Blizzard is doing it by themselves.
It has a far more coherent, focused, and stable story. It has far more world building and RP elements. It has a more intricate and interesting combat system that has actual differences between jobs/classes. It does crafting/gathering far better, and makes it far more valuable. It does casual gameplay far better and doesn’t force players to grind constantly just to stay up to date on content/power. It doesn’t do borrowed power, so you aren’t weaker once the new expansion hits. It doesn’t do as much RNG at all, so you know how powerful an item is when it drops and also how to get it. Lots of grinds and things that will keep you logging in regularly are cosmetic and not for power.
The graphics are also much better, especially the spell effects. The old content is preserved and allows players to tackle them even today at an almost equivalent level of difficulty due to scaling. It lets you play with friends and newer players even without rolling a new character. It allows you to do everything in game with one character, rather than forcing rerolls for different classes. The hardcore content is better, the fights more interesting and better designed, and there’s harder content for those that want it.
Is that enough or do you want more?

I play both, WoW for right now is my New World waiting room. I can only play WoW if friends are on and want to do some dungeons , other than that in my opinion WoW is very boring and doesn’t engage me at all. I feel like blizzard said go go gadget white knights and they then came out of the woodwork and started invading forum posts with “I tried FF, it sucked play WoW”.
i think you’re bad at playing video games. This is something my sister would say who doesn’t play video games at all. I PLAYED IT FOR 20 WHOLE MINS AND I DIDN’T UNDERSTAND. IT SUCKS!

You didn’t like it because you didn’t give it a chance and hoped it was wow 2.0, it’s not. Its a unique game of its own. You can’t say its garbage compared to wow based on your 20mins of “wow 2.0” mentality". Play the game with a fresh mindset or blank mindset, not a wow mindset.

FFXIV’s community is noticeably less toxic. At least it has been in my experience. The GMs/moderators also ban for toxicity, so it makes sense that the more toxic WoW refugees wouldn’t last.
Then they’re dumb. Dark Souls isn’t a weeb game but it’s entirely developed by Japanese developers.
