Everything up to Stormblood is playable, but there are some restrictions. You don’t get a friends list, and I’m not sure that you get retainers (which basically act as your bank vaults).
Omg yes I learned about the Retainers thing yesterday! I went go to go put a few transmog stuffs in my Armoire or whatever but I couldnt. And then I researched something about having to get retainers who wear my transmog stuff? Like what is that? thats such a weird design flaw.
Agreed. There are a lot of assumptions being made in this threads, I’ve made several myself. I wish these companies would release sub numbers just to sate my curiosity.
I’ve never had the desire to. What’s the point? All the rewards are tied up in the endgame or in content that’s been designed for solo play.
To unlock the dresser, you need to complete a quest. It is a really easy one though. I did it yesterday, and I also unlocked the ability to use dyes. Retainers are not needed for it. You put the clothes you want to use as your glamour in the dresser inside of the inn room.
Edit:
Doh, sorry I misread your post. I didn’t know retainers could wear your outfits
Well just saying… if you want to join a group to go world boss / rare farming you can! Or heck, create a room advertising a ‘Dwarves only fishing trip!’ or something you can lol. I see a lot of stuff there. or BoE farming. or classic dungeon farming. etc. :> i love WoW lol
According to some people around here it is impossible to still like WoW.
Think and know are as different as opinion or fact.
Forums exist to talk about the game. Weirdly FF14 players seem to only want to talk about the game on WoW forums…
No. Forums are an avenue to complain. They exist to communicate about the game.
haha Well I could be wrong, it’s just what I quickly read in some research. Despite have 3 main-job level characters I still don’t know much about the game because I always quit prematurely. I’m really enjoying WHM so far though!
There’s probably some truth to that, but as you know 87% of all percentages are made up on the spot and really have no data to back up the figure.
I don’t really think that’s what the point of those posts are, it okay.
so then why are you using all of those incorrectly?
I’ve defeated you at every point which is why you retreat to all new nonsense. Where is your argument that playing WOW and FF14 somehow isn’t playing WOW? Where is your argument that using the free trial to play WOW somehow isn’t playing WOW? Where is your argument that playing on private servers somehow isn’t NOT playing WOW?
you’ve failed to even understand my whole point no matter how many different ways I explain it, let alone “defeat” me
Probably because you don’t have a real point, and every time you try to “explain,” it you say complete nonsense?
more like wow players who picked up ff14 want to talk about it.
FF14 players don’t want to talk about it as much as they want to play it. ;D
/silly
Why? What rares are even worth killing in WoW these days? And why would you need to get a group together for it? I mean, you can do it, but there’s no point to it in WoW.
I stopped reading here.
I do not know if WoW is “better” raid wise
I can say this for FF 14 however
- There are far more activities that you can queue for
2, FF 14 more heavily enforces good behavior and even encourages it with the “commendation” system
- FF 14 “raid” boss content is less time intensive - you queue up and get it done and are out…no hour+ of killing irrelevant trash mobs.
As I said before - FF 14 is more honest about the game itself - the “world” is largely a solo experience (this is the same in WoW - no one cares who you are in Korthia - you could be a NPC for all most care as long as you damage the rare. “Group” content is done via the social systems which are separate from the “world”
I am aware world quests and weekly boss kills are “group” content - though I question how many actual conversations or friendships were ever forged after such a experience.
Ironically the most “social” aspect of WoW group content at the moment…is likely M+.
FF14 is one game. WoW is two games. Between the two games is a divided playerbase. They may run off the same subscriptions, but they are not playing the same game
The entire point has nothing to do with the shareholders as you seem to be so desperately grasping at, it’s about the consumer on the outside looking in: which game is more popular, and thus reasonably assumed to be “better”? WoW may have more subscriptions total, but they’re divided between two games, so those two games can only be fairly looked at individually when put next to FF14, which is a single game
if you still cannot grasp this point then I can only conclude that you’re trolling and I wash my hands of this entire conversation
