Lot of negative talk about ff14. It’s getting flushed down the gitter.
lol what nonsense. FF is struggling to keep up with the influx. Their servers are full. Their only problem currently is figuring out how to sustain all of the new players being logged in, they’re even having to put log out counters and afk features because ppl stay logged in for so long
I mean yoshi p himself has stated that the ff14 population has continued to grow from expansion to expansion.
WoW on the other hand…lol
This, and with FF14’s next expansion Endwalker coming out in the next few months, it is only going to get bigger lol.
One of my main gripes with SE… is over the Steam issue.
People have had issues getting accounts set up, payments setup, or other problems that pop up in direct relation with how Steam handles things. Steams discussion boards have had threads about these issues for years.
After the sudden surge in popularity recently… the same problems people had for years popped back up as people who were buying and accessing the game via steam (the PS4/5 users and the “Windows” users have not experienced these problems. These problems are unique to Steam and the Steam Client.
Square just recently updated their website as well. Before it looked like some early 2000s korean MMO and was extremely difficult to figure out how to make an account. I tried to play FF14 before I went back to WoW and setup a trial account and I couldn’t figure it out.
ff14 is currently in a dead period waiting for a new content patch
it got the boost without any new content, something wow never sees
it is still steady at pre-boost levels, losing effectively nothing despite being a no-new-content period, something that current wow finds impossible
what is more weird is that wow barely went up after 9.1
every single metric is a red flag for wow buddy, I’m not saying ff14 is the answer to everyone’s mmo needs to anything
wow is killing itself by making itself less fun due to heavy monetization designs and now the current kerfuffle with harassment
ff14 is just another solid mmo with far less monetization design, but some parts of it are without question inferior to wow
I couldn’t get it to load - just getting it to work was such a pain I abandoned it. I think they need to really rethink that part of it, and they also need to work hard to be able to properly and smoothly service the increasing demand.
Right… that’s a issue.
They have gotten better thou with giving good instructions.
Their multiple websites is a bit of a issue… but it is definitely getting better.
I do like how pretty much anything I need to know or look up… is located on one of SE official pages and not on some fansite.
At least in FF… their story skips are cheap (the story skips complete every mandatory quest you have to do to get anywhere in the game)
You can also buy class quest skips (a tad expensive I think)
Hands down thou… FF has better looking in-game achievable mounts and some of those store mounts are… amazing.
Also they have awesome looking dragon mounts and a Rathalos mount…
im trying to create a new character on probably the most populated server on this data center. its been idk almost 1 hour now and still unable to due to heavy traffic. surprisingly last night it was free usually at that hour it’s the same issue.
i still see a LOT of new players in game as well yesterday a LOT. it’s not like WoWs old ques yes but there are still ques and imo unlike wow this game kicks you in a decent amount of time if you afk. in WoW i can probably afk for an hour easily. game also doesn’t have much alts so it seems since there is no need for one just change your race if you please via fantasia.
hype is still there is what im getting at it’s not as big as few weeks ago yes but it isn’t dead which you seem to be implying. thats like comparing WoWs current subs to it’s prime.
Many of the people who jumped on the hype train and decided to try it realized they didn’t actually want to play a Glitter Wizard who fights dancing cacti (cactuses).
Pretty much.
A lvl boost in FF14 right now costs $17.50, while a lvl boost in WoW costs $60. It says it all right there lol.
New World isn’t far away.
Looking forward to playing it properly myself.
There is no level boost in FF14… it says it right there.
What is purchasable is STORY SKIPS for both the main, expansions, and class quests.
It even says on the description of the story skips that it does not give you levels.
Lvl boost as in job boost.
There are two different boosts on the cash shop. One is a job lvl boost, the other is a main story quest skip. L2R.
Ok there is a level boost with the jobs. Oddly there are 2 jobs that you can’t boost… weird.
There is a reason for that, but tbh, I don’t feel like holding your hand any longer.
