FF14 fad didn't last long

I tried it… a real college try.

FF is just boring. Beautiful artwork, but boring.

And sexist as hell. Boob sliders? Really?

Ehhh Half agree, half disagree.

Pros of WoW Transmog:

  • Once you get a piece, its appearance is account bound.
  • Unlimited space due to the collection’s tab.
  • Low cost in gold.

Cons of WoW transmog:

  • Collections tab is clunky and you cant search for certain pieces or other tier set lookalikes of your armor type.
  • You cannot use dyes to change the tint or colors of armor. Instead it’s locked away in raid difficulty tiers or worse, NPC only tints.
-Acquiring gear pieces for transmog when tier tokens don’t exist anymore is like a roulette of sh*t. You either get gold, the fancy currency of the patch, or dad’s whipping belt.
  • You can’t transmog the appearance of grey gear. Why.

Pros of FF14 transmog:

-Lots of appearances to choose from. No ilv restrictions

-Gear from trials and raids are either a set piece, or a token piece to give to a vendor so even if you dont have it drop, you can exchange the token to a specialty vendor for an item or piece of your choice.

-Tints and different colors for gear to dye. Lets you be a bit creative and make things match to avoid clownsuits.

Cons of FF14 transmog:

  • Limited closet space. You really gotta pick and choose what you wanna keep.

  • Some gear can’t be dyed or can only be dyed in limited color shades.

  • Gender locked clothing exists. Some clothes are men only, some are women only. ex: butler costume is mens only, maid dress is girls only.

-Clothes, gear and everything else is character bound, not account bound like WoW. So with BoP, unique or untradable items you’re kinda SoL.

I think this part is what most people are not understanding. If anything, I get frustrated when I play other MMO and see how things are being implemented that to me are better compared to WoW’s implementation of the same thing.

WoW can be so much better and the weird design decision that keeps happening is super sketch. I don’t know but maybe there’s a group of players that actually enjoy all of the content that people are complaining about.

The timing of devs in HQ just doing random things while in the office also doesn’t help since you don’t have to be a Dr. to start connecting dots that all play and no work (Even aggressive work environment) makes a jank game…

Why are people talking about people quitting wow and not the new people joining. The overall population numbers have been increasing since May. As for FF14, that’s a patchwork doodoo show so it’s not Surprising people are bailing. The game is lifeless and has no soul.

Now all we need is a feather and a chicken don’t ask why

9 out of 10 Chinese gold farmers would disagree with you

I’m still enjoying it. Been playing both WoW and FFXIV for some time now.

I’m sure WoW is still a great game if you don’t rely on the new content to keep you engaged, like some of us vets do.

Level 20 so far, it’s no much unbearable than the 1-50 slog that is retail right now.

Just logged in and there is still a queue.

You could not like the game but you don’t have to be brain dead about it.

Ffxiv has 1000x more life then WoW. ALL ZONES Feel alive as people are always lvling and dungeons on each lvl bracket are active since people can que old content and still get good rewards.

Walking in the main city hubs u see people throughout concerts and live music being played in game. Guidies chilling with each other in the guild housing and getting to customize ur home to invite others in.

WoW has oribos, korthia and bots farming in the open world.

Honestly I don’t know why blizz doesn’t release on steam. Sure steam gets a cut but let’s face it. A cut of something is still better than 100% of nothing from those people who refuse to even touch a game that isn’t on steam as insane as that is. Blizz should just do what Ubisoft and rockstar do and have the steam launcher launch bnet.

you people pay money for this? lol!!! looks like they are even more woke than blizz.

in 5 minutes of reading an FF14 discussion forum i saw probably 10 people that said they don’t talk in chat anymore because they are scared of being banned for anything they say. sounds like a great game. you people must have absolutely nothing to do with your free time.

the below is taken directly from their ToS:

■Harassment

“Harassment” means speech and/or behaviour that inflicts deep emotional distress on another person. It is an extremely serious violation. Where Square Enix determines that harassment has occurred, a penalty equal to or higher than “Temporary Service Account Suspension” may be imposed.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of behaviour that could constitute harassment in Final Fantasy XIV:

・Discriminatory expressions based on race/nationality/thinking/gender/sexual orientation/gender identity

・Discriminatory expressions about a state/religion/occupation/organisation, etc.

・Obscene/indecent expressions

・Actions that inflict emotional distress using content related to historical events or crimes

・Stalking

・Disclosing or indicating personal information such as contact details with the aim of meeting up in the real world

・Disclosing or indicating another person’s real world personal information without permission

・Other actions that are generally regarded as actions that inflict deep emotional distress on another person

These are prohibited in all places where expressions can be made, including chat (including Quick Chat and Emote), markers, comments and names. With regard to character names, if a phrase equating to harassment is formed within the full name, this is also regarded as harassment. In the case of a group action, all of the members involved will be subject to penalties.

There may be other types of harassment that do not fit into any of the categories described above. Square Enix may determine that conduct constitutes harassment, even if such conduct is not expressly prohibited herein.

■Nuisance behaviour

“Nuisance behaviour” means speech or behaviour that hurts others or obstructs game play, but which is not classified as harassment. Even if it was not the intention, a penalty may be imposed if the end result was that another person was hurt or obstructed.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of examples of nuisance behaviour:

◆Offensive expression

“Offensive expression” means an expression in general that inflicts emotional distress by being offensive to another person. Offensive expression may include:

・Aggressive expressions such as violent language/slander/insult/threat.

・Expressions that provoke or belittle another person, such as excessive criticism, negation/ridicule

・Expressions that significantly lack consideration for another person

・Expressions that unilaterally reject another person’s opinion

・Expressions that any reasonable person would find offensive

・Expressions that compel a playing style

・Expressions that attempt to unilaterally exclude someone from the game or content/community, etc.

(Except when in accordance with rules set by an administrator such as a Free Company Master)

・Expressions that contravene public order and morals

・Other expressions that are offensive to another person

Offensive expressions are prohibited in all places where expressions can be made in Final Fantasy XIV, including chat (including Quick Chat and Emote), markers, comments and names. Use of an offensive expression in the form of a character name is also regarded as nuisance behaviour.

RMT doesn’t = popularity lol. That’s just a business thing pure and simple.
So, not really disputing my point lo.

FF14 hype is going to pick up in November. Declining twitch numbers don’t mean much.

Well twitch in general doesnt mean much.

And i wasn’t trying to…

But i have a question does your east also mean China or not

They increased server caps and my queues are still growing, had highest one yet today.

FF14 streams aren’t as popular as WoW streams because:

  1. FF14 isn’t as competitive of a game.
  2. Streamers play through story. People don’t want to get spoiled.

That person is a troll just ignore them. FF14 hubs are some of the most amazing things about the game.

It does, but you’re trying to argue that because there are Chinese gold sellers that means the game is popular, which really doesn’t work.

This and the personalities for FFXIV streamers SUCK.
Nice people yes, but they’re not entertaining.
