See my post above. Their number have been trending up for the last 4 months and even now is still higher the the start of the month. Their 100% increase spike they had mid month seems to be correcting, but we will not know for sure where that correction is until next month.
Exactly. All these ff14 fanboys on the wow forum crack me up. ff14 does a lot better than wow. No one can dispute that. But one area that wow objectively is superior to ff14 is the transmog system. Anyone who’s spent more than 5 minutes on the ff14 forum can tell you that they’re all waiting on tenterhooks for an update to the glamour system that would basically copy wow’s account wide unlock and vendor system.

Plenty for me. You don’t need to hold so many you dont even use. And swapping items in and out takes 20 seconds. Course I have max retainers so I dont have storage issues. Each his own.

FF14 was never a WoW replacement tbh. It is a much different game.
SWTOR is more like WoW than FF.

for the same reason anyone else trolls about this topic, just like the OP. it sows the idea in people’s heads that the game is empty and you never see areas populated, which has been a major complaint about WoW for years. it discourages people from playing the game because they believe these rumors

Uggg stop acting like ffxiv was the all end all of people quitting wow.
People talked about it due to the very emotional ffxiv con (forgot the name but it’s there blizzcoN)
During a WoW drought people where moved by how much the devs over there communicate and how issues are addressed and the community generally gets what they want and the devs are happy to deliver. WoW hasn’t felt that way in a very long time. It’s just people who love the WoW IP hoping they get something they want while blizz dev play Frankenstein and create horrid systems NO ONE ASKED FOR while also ignoring player feedback and telling us they get no feedback.
Ffxiv is where a lot of casual players went, pvpers went to guild wars or ESO, and those who wanted the old school fantasy imagery went to ESO.
People might have found other mmos or tried other betas but tbh not many stuck around for the entirety of the drought. Plus 9.1 was not well received with the disaster that is shards of domination.
This game needs some serious change in direction or it won’t last.
Did you know that competition is healthy in a free market? If Blizzard has genuine competition, they will be forced to innovate and improve in order to lure in our tasty dollars.
Dumping on other MMOs while being satisfied with BFA and SL speaks more to your self-hating addiction to WoW than anything else.

And to add to this those dumping on WoW in the forums actually do love this game and want it to succeed they just hope that any type of feedback (even upset harsh ones) get listened to.
