Feral druids need a buff

Its not unplayable its just less rewarding for the complexity of the spec.

All the work you gotta put in compared to other brain dead specs that top the meters with no effort.

Example - Ele shaman Spam LB and CL non stop and top the meters. The Skill it takes to play that spec is nonexistent.

Yeah and from a game design perspective for ALL mmos out there.

Hard class = good damage performance

here is

Feral hard class = worst damage performance, doesn’t make sense at all 4

right and all the brain dead class ( ele shaman top meters with no effort )

Where Feral you actually gotta try to be middle of the pack in dps

Fixed for pve would be even better for pvp. feral can be quite good in pvp.

Buffing is complicated because the devs probably saw what happens when retail did this.

Monk has been like this. they fixed it for pve a few times
and the monks became Chuck Norris mixed with Bruce Lee in pvp.

Also seen with druids in SL. By 9.2.5 to 9.3 they were were just strong as hell. PVE and PVP.

you’d send 8+ to deal with them in BG. If you sent 4 dudes
you were just feeding them 4 HKs really.

I get your point, its a very easy fix

Bring back the glyph of clearcasting , anytime you apply FFF on a raid pve scenario you get clearcasting (every 6 secs)

This won’t affect pvp and will keep it the same, there are lots of ways to buff a class that needs it without affecting PvP

Also , most classic players RAID and don’t do pvp, pvp is an afterthought in cataclysm and most of the population won’t get affected.

If you are going to PvP you might as well go to retail or play an actual PvP game (not an mmo)

100% the FFF glyph wasnt massive it just helped slightly and made it so we dont have to bearweave.

all the X- weave makes the class/spec overly complicated and blizz has already stated that they dont want feral druids weaving.

The FFF glyph was massive lol it catapulted feral druids straight to the top of the meter

I thought real feral players loved the jank.

All the glyph did was give ferals clearcasting once every 6 seconds if they pressed FFF, since fff has a cd of 6secs.

It made it so that you don’t have to wait and count to 4 seconds to do damage or doesn’t force you to switch to bear form to bear weave

Uh yeah, and it was a significant dps increase. Ferals became one of the best specs in the game even in Ulduar and by ICC were #1 or very, very close to it.

Cuz the class sucked before ?

Shamans for example in wrath got a clearcasting every time they CRIT , with good RNG rq

by making the rotation smoother it did increase the damage because there was LESS downtime!!! While also forcing druids to keep the FFF debuff up which helped increase the rest of the raids damage. it was a win win

Feral druids need buffed, they are being held down for too long!

Feral druid is the 13th most played class/spec but is ranked #20 out of 22 according to WCL.

If blizz just added the FFF Glyph back to game we would be fine.

Yeah given your posting history, and looking at the guide differences between the two specs, I am very much not inclined to believe this.

Can someone else that’s actually knowledgeable support the idea that Cata Feral is harder than Cata Demo? Cause it certainly doesn’t seem like it.

So you’re saying feral should be doing the same DPS as Demo?

That works.

As for how hard it is, Demo is ranged and doesn’t have to worry about combo points.

Demo is melee actually. If you’re playing at ranged, you’re not playing Demo right and you’re bad.

Also, I didn’t say Feral should be doing the same DPS, especially because it’s an easier spec to play now.

It stands in melee but casts doesnt mean theyre melee as theyre not attacking with weapons

Feral is not easier now feral has to weave where in wrath when they had the FFF glyph weaving was not needed!!!

They are forced to stand in melee, but lack the mobility of actual melee dps classes. Movement is far more punishing for them as casters.

Melee isn’t mobile
since you know they have to be standing in melee range of the boss and preferably behind it. And they have plenty of options to use not at melee range, unless unlike actual melee classes.

Melee can be chasing the boss around the room for the entire fight and suffer zero dps loss as long as they are able to stay in melee range. This is obviously not true for casters.
