Do you still love the class?
Personally, i nearly swapped to Warrior myself, and i did enjoy it, but i ended up missing the class fantasy of Rogues, being stealthy assassins and all.
And while i do enjoy Sin, Sub feels bloated as hell, and i despise Outlaw for replacing Combat, i never liked the forced Pirate theme it has, and like many would agree with, RTB can BURN in hell.
I tried playing Outlaw at times but it just felt bad, with the APM being through the roof while being riddled with RNG.
And like i said, Sub just feels bloated, it has like 5 freaking finishers, just why?.
And from what ive seen in other post, many do seem to think Rogue in general is convoluted, and yeah i agree.
Theres also the obnoxious Stealth bug which i did notice, i hate it.
Its hard times for Rogues.

The class is cooked, I could deal with having absolute dog classes and hero talents but the broken stealth bugs are the final nail.
If it’s not addressed or fixed by S1 i’m un-subbing.

Played rogue since vanilla release. Combat then Assassination all the way through today. I am finally considering another main, maybe Frost DK. Assassination hero talents feel so underwhelming. Deathstalker needs another method to apply Mark outside of stealth - it’s just too much of a management chore right now. Kinda like Slice and Dice, Tea, reapply poisons every hour etc…

I am having a good time. I’ve
Played since 2007(tbc). 17 years. I have always played combat / outlaw. This is the closest that outlaw has been to combat in a long time. I am not talking about the crack shot build. That’s a play style I don’t like.
Could use a few minor adjustments, but outlaw is mechanically fun. Disregarding bugs and what not.

Maining rogue for the first time ever for this expansion! Assassination is doing great and I’m enjoying it. Sure maybe my hero class isn’t the flashiest, but boy those 2-3 million envenoms are pretty hilarious.
I was originally going to do Outlaw because I find its playstyle to be fun but it’s got serious problems at the moment.

I do recommend tinkering with it on the side at some point though. Trickster can be very satisfying to play, sans all the ridiculous problems with the spec at the moment. 1 hour tricks is also a godsend. I do so much damage at the moment that I would wind up being the tank without it

Killing Spree keeps killing me, but I need it for the Unseen Blade procs.
Unseen Blade has a twenty second CD, which is an eternity in Outlaw time.

I don’t get the doom and gloom. Rogue actually feels OK for 2 out of 3 specs, assass is able to do aoe damage for the first time ever, and in bgs we literally are reapers of souls. Sudden demise is the ultimate kill stealing tool when you pop a fresh rupture on someone who is low. It looks like the devs are finally looking at the class and making a couple quality of life changes as well.

Maining a Rogue for the first time and still enjoying it.
ST I feel good but 3 or more mobs is a bit frustrating. I miss the ability to just walk in and melt everything with my ret pally.
But like you, I really enjoy the class fantasy and being a sneaky Ninja esque type character.

The ability to engage is stealth for solo content (combined with Sap and Distract) cannot be underestimated. Lots of solo stuff to do this expansion. Loving the class still.

Yes, but love isn’t enough. It’s too broken, so I’ve switched to my second love, Priest.
Ironically, this class is also semi fubar, but at least it’s fun and doesn’t have gamebreaking bugs.

Still my favorite class and spec (Assa), the only problem with rogue is the amount of bugs this expansion. Stealth bug, Deathmark bug, Recuperator bug… and every hotfix I see from the past week, all classes getting bug fixes and Rogue is forgotten by Blizz

Love the rogue, hopefully the stealth bugs are fixed going into season 1.
That is my biggest gripe with rogue. Love outlaw and I love sin so far. Unlike most I love the pirate theme
In dungeons, I feel like the dungeons normal/heroic are to easy to kill everything and also survive. It’s hard to tell how the class is going into season 1 but I got high hopes

I know this thread was for the hate sticks but i dont understand this sentiment. You mentioned 5 finishers, Sin and Outlaw have 4. BP for Sub is extremely situational.
If yout complaint is about the cooldowns that still doesnt make sense. They can all be macroed.
Is your complaint about the stealth bar from SD? Get some help to clean up your bar.
Sub is actually currently the easiest spec to play (tho still a higher skill cap than Sin).
Outlaw 4 life
I am having a blast. I don’t play the crackshot build. I play how outlaw is meant to be played. Like combat of old.

My question is how many of you are talking about PVE? How a character plays is completely different depending on whether youre doing PVE or PVP.
Rogue seems fine for PVE but trash for PVP.
Increased cool downs for kidney shot and gouge make it trash. Rogues are squishy, without our stuns its pretty much GG.
I havent tired doing a build that revolves around shadow dance. If that allows repeated cheap shots maybe thatll work? But Im not expecting it.
Rogue seems ruined right now. I just started playing again after many years so maybe I need more time. But right now its terrible.

I think that saying that “all can be macrod” is proving it isn’t that well designed.
If you gotta macro a bunch of stuff to make the spec feel smooth, then something is wrong.
Regarding the finishers, we have Eviscerate, Rupture, Black Powder and the clone one (forgot the name) and we can also count SnD.
The clones and BP just feel like they’re overlapping.
