So changed my name cause i kinda regretted the previous one (Kurøno)
And im pretty sure i just split myself? like all my history in the forums is gone but my previous posts are still there with my old name as the poster.

Unfortunate side effect of post history and stuff being tied to characters rather than the account.
Your new name makes you effectively a new character, with no post history.
It’s the reason why I haven’t switched to any of the more recent characters I play. This one is the only one that posts on the forums, lol.

Yeah, sometimes weird things happen with services. Did a transfer a bit ago and the character was left on the old realm but a new one was also recreated. So now I have 2 moos instead on 1! c:
Forum accounts are tied to the specific character. And in this case the forums pretty much see your recently renamed character as a new character. So in this case. It is supposed happen.
Certainly not a ideal situation but its the way it is

Well, good to know the forums are still terrible with their features, like the decaying hard to achieve Trust level that pretty much nobody likes.

You paid actual dollars to have a name with an alpha character in it?

Not to derail your topic but it’s one of the many reasons that some of us would like to have the forum link to the account and not to a individual character.

i did a race / faction swap years ago and it messed up my mythic raid history. i still have my achieves to prove i was legit but it was a hassle on a couple of occasions.

Yeah i agree, if simply changing your name can mess things up this badly, then its a poorly made system.

I don’t know if it still works, but you used to be able to make a new character with the old name on the server and it would inherit the forum history. (They’d have to be high enough level to post — 10 I think?)
i stopped caring. they like to give me a short vacation as soon as i get it and then its back to square 1
