I don’t understand this argument. Torch 6 has WAY more requirements than the pet torch does. The only saving grace is that you can hope someone else will do it for you in vicinity while you afk it. So I guess what you’re actually asking for is a way to afk it? I guess they could do that. Like they did with the perky pug torch.

this item isn’t restricted to the anniversary event - it will stay available after the event. Not sure what that has to do with my statement though
The pet battle in it self shouldn’t be that hard if you have the right pets and search for tactics on how to do it. The worse thing is that you need the Shadowy Disguise for the next step (I think). This requires you to get the achievement “Pet Battle Challenge: Blackrock Depths” which requires you to win a certain amount of pet battles in the Blackrock Depths dungeon. From what I saw in a video you need 29 certain pets to do this achievement (31 pets total as you need 2 of 2 different pets). That achievement is probably what is going to stop me from getting the mount. Going back and farm all those pets (don’t know how many of them I have or if I have any of them at all) is probably never going to happened. I farm mounts and think it is enough to farm for them.

You will not be able to get the Felcycle after the Anniversary event is over.
Nothing in this game is “forced”. I just want people to understand everything is an option, and when someone doesn’t like that option, and a substitute is unavailable, there are other places to go. As far as this specific battle goes, there are 3 easy to get pets to win:

I’m confused at the comments. First, there are a lot of things I don’t get because I play alone, don’t do pvp or mythic keys. Most pets and toys just come through the natural quest progression. I like that this is hard. Everyone wants everything to be so easy. There should be things only certain players can get based o no their interest or skills.

I don’t mean literally forced. I mean forcing something into a questline that most players do not participate in.
Though I feel like that should have already been the context comprehended. Hard to debate when somebody is not objective, and has a “pro blizz” bias to their arguments. I’d rather just be objective about it. Very few players participate in pet battles, and this was likely forced into a quest line to pad metrics, because they’d get rid of anything that is too low participation.

I know exactly what you mean… I want this mount and somehow need to have 8 alts properly geared to learn all the fights just so my mage can look cool…

So are these pets part of the Anniversary Event or just regular pets to collect? I don’t even care about the cycle but I might go get the pets.
Hardly pro-blizzard and more like pro-common sense with a sprinkle of anti-complaining.

they’re pets from past secrets, but all fairly easy to get.
here’s a short list I stole from someone else on the forums. you can look them up on wowhead for more detailed information on how to get them.
- Spyragos: 10 minute quest in waking shores
- Nelthara: 10 minute quest requiring a level 70 evoker
- Wicker Pup: 10 minute flying around drustvar
- Taptaf: Kill 1 mob in drustvar
- Terky: Click 1 item in borean tundra
- Gurgl: 15~ Minute quest chain (Has a pet battle in it)
- Glimr: 20~ Minute quest chain (Has a pet battle in it)
- Jenafur: The secret took a long time to solve but actually doing it takes 10 minutes.

I didn’t mean you particularly. Just in general. It’s ok to point out something silly, but some white blood cell user here rebuke everything not praising Blizz for every decision made.
So not part of the Anniv event? Cool, I don’t have to rush then.
