Feedback - Stress Test

Classic Realm 3 - Got an error when trying to create a character.

Classic Realm 15 - Human starter area is way too crowded, impossible to quest, mobs are killed as soon as they spawn.

  • Made an Orc Warlock
  • Ran to Ratchet to catch the boat to Booty Bay
  • Made my way through STV toward Stormwind
  • Messed around with some Alliance dogs outside the city gate
  • Suicide run into human starting zone

10/10 will play again

Realm 3: Mulgore
Tried to buy 200 light shot (ammo), experienced significant lag and my general chat showed: 30, 47, and 123 light shot instead of received 200. Bug?

First realm I was on, normal realm 2, human starting area. Was crowded, but with grouping, might have been ok.

Second realm, moved to pvp server 15 - WAY too crowded, not enough spawns, people not grouping to share kills. I am currently level 2, since being on since coming to this realm after first one got axed.

respawns are too slow

Yes actually, you should if you don’t want to wait 15 minutes. The rules for completing quests are the same for all areas in that if there is more competition, you will have more difficulty completing them.

Level 1 quests are basically Communication 101 for MMO beginners.

Apart from the fact that if you do ask to group, you mostly get ignored in general because there’s so much spam.

Tauren starting zone on realm 14 was smooth. About 15-20 people in the zone and everyone was friendly. The server felt stable, no lag, and I did not have to really wait for any respawns.

Accepted amount of players. Not too crowded and with enough people to play it.

But the lag is HUUUUUUGE! Took me almost 2 minutes to turn in a quest.

At 3:45, I was unable to log into Classic Realm 3. It just hung on the loading screen, then kicked me back to the character select screen. I tried this several times. I have not been able to log in yet.

Bind /wave to macro, attach to mouse wheel, unlock wheel, target player, spin to win.

Very pleased with the number of people. Enough to seem like the world is populated, but not too many to create large difficulties leveling.

Layering works pretty well from what I’ve seen; I recall seeing a player named Shamitution or something to that degree, and saw him later at level 5 after some amount of time had passed.

Game runs smoothly, only seeing a bit of a delay to be returned to the spirit healer after I die (I am a level 4 Tauren in Thousand Needles).

EDIT: Realm #3

Stuck on some godforsaken PVP realm. Think it’s #13. At least the number is sorta okay.

Trying to sell greys means standing in front of the vendor and watching as every. single. item. takes. thirty. or. more. seconds. to. sell.

Would be nice to have the original realms back. The pace of progression, and lack of lag and mob spawn rates were really nice. It was perfect.

This may not be the stress test you guys wanted, but it certainly is the stress test that was deserved.

Very crowded. Way too crowded.

Initial Feedback - First 2 Hour

Started on Server 5 with a healthy amount of people in Valley of Trials starting zone.

Once the servers reduced to 3 & 15 we chose 3. We began in Deathknell as undead and there was way too much congestion for the first couple of quests, so we simply skipped them and continued on by farming mobs for xp, which only seemed to hinder our leveling slightly, until we could pick up some of the later quests after hitting level 3.

Overall server stability seemed wonderful, even when the server couldn’t keep up it would eventually catch, rather than just booting us. Props on the performance.

I 1st logged into realm 1 on night elf shortly after 5 pm edt (2 pm pdt) but didn’t do anything because I forgot default was right click instead of left click and then servers went down. It wasn’t very crowded though. 2nd question doesn’t apply since I can’t log into that realm anymore.

2nd character I logged into Realm 3 around 5:30 edt and it was very crowded due to there now only being 2 servers to test. I’m not sure I’d say it was too crowded for a launch day experience though. More people grouping up probably would help in this area. I ended up joining a group for a quest and it went much faster than the 1st one which I ended up going back to finish up later. It started to lag really bad around 6:40 so I logged out - delay in npcs completing and giving quests, as well as selling things to vendors. I haven’t left starting area yet so will update this later to answer 2nd part.

EDIT: Got to Bloodhoof Village around 8 pm edt and it was pretty empty. The crowd in starting area had thinned out a lot though when I got back on around 7:30.

Realm 3, pm CT. LAG, LAG and more… yup.

the amount of people i was playing with on the realm 15, (high pop) before you took all the servers down and only opened 2 realms up was good, but now there are too many people in the layers/sharts.
