Layering on server 15 was absolutely terrible. It’s disappointing to log into the game and not be able to see my friends who are in a different layer standing right where I’m at.
Realm 3 Feedback
At first it was a little crowded, but within a few hours the whole world felt rather barren. Definitely would have liked to see more people especially in the capital. At the end when they condensed to one layer it was cool to see all the classic lovers running around!!
Realm 15 Horde Outside Org about five minutes ago
VERY crowded, TONS of competition for the mobs. Especially the one rare female Undead spawn. Lots of lags Blizz please fix!
Realm 3 was a ghost town past the first 3 or 4 hours. Having the realm population say “High” and then logging in, typing /who in Org and getting only 7 people in the results was a huge disconnect. My entire time in the Barrens, I think I saw like 4 other people total. Layering was definitely way too heavy on that server.
EDIT: Forgot to mention this but Wailing Caverns had a lot of issues with mob placement. Kresh, for instance, spawned in the ground in two of my instance runs and there were a lot of enemies (especially in the maze section) that I believe spawned in the walls and aggro’d onto us in awkward moments. Wiped a few times to an enemy popping out of nonexistence and aggroing onto the healer. Not sure if you’re looking for this kind of feedback but I don’t know where else to report it since there wasn’t an ingame report bug feature.
addendum: i participated in the raid on angry dev tweedle dee and could barely get a swing in, although i did manage to get off divine protection sometimes to avoid the dragon aoe instakill. 10/10 beta would again
Everything worked exactly as I expected. The night elf starting zone was crowded at the beginning but thinned out in a few hours. It was a great joy to play and I can hardly wait for the launch of Classic.
Hey thanks for the opportunity!!!
1- Nah it was okay, mainly cuz of the layering, but still…
2- Actually, no. It didn’t feel too empty at all
I would rather take 15 minutes with it being too crowded and competing for mobs then for it too layer out other players and leave me feeling empty and alone for long amounts of time.
There was barely any connection or lag problems for the stress test. Working with people in groups to complete quests was the most fun I have had with WoW in a long time. Looking forward to testing further.
I was on Realm 3. and the layering SUCKED. IT felt empty more than anything.
Layering is not worth the lack of community and the feeling like i will never see another person again because they will just layer off somewhere else.
- I was on Realm 3 and started playing around 230 pdt. It felt normally crowded in the starting zone, but felt a little empty outside of starting zone. There was also quite a bit of lag for the first couple hours. No chat lag, but spells and looting delayed. Lag didn’t last too long. Smooth sailing after that.
ClassicRealm15
Human starting area was crowded, but struggling in a group with friends made it manageable.
Westfall was much less crowded on the second day, but it was still competitive tagging mobs and collecting quest items.
10/10 stress test.
I created 2 characters and played through the first zone, 1st time was the first evening just as it opened up and it took my about 3 hours just to “graduate” from Northshire, even with a full group trying to do the quests because of congestion and tagging mob mechanics (expected). 2nd character, the next night I was able to get through Northshire solo in about 35 min.
Also I had autoloot enabled and there were many times that a mob would have sparkles and I’d loot and the container would open, be empty and close super fast. Not really a bug, just awkward UI experience.
The amount of people was perfect and I was able to level fairly easily and or find groups to complete what I needed. I want to add that Asmongold and Teremus in Stormwind was epic. I really hope it gave you guys enough server stress so we can have a proper epic and gigantic AQ gate event.
Remove layering. We don’t want it, we didn’t ask for it, and you have no idea what vanilla wow is all about.
Also, what kind of bad company shuts down a stress test in the middle of a friday afternoon?
Starting zones, especially undead, are still really bad. It wasn’t as bad for me, like the first time; example: took almost 2 hours the first stress test to kill the skellies quest. This time, it only took about an hour to do the skellies quest. This was all on Server 2. 8pm EST on Thursday
Once I got to Silverpine, I noticed a lack of players. I passed maybe 3 in about 1 hour? 3pm EST Friday.
Overall, I feel like you guys need to do the stress test on a weekend to get real numbers and not during a work week. Also, I feel the layering mechanic you guys are implementing is causing a lot of problems with people jumping around, which is causing starting zone mishaps and lack of players in other areas.
It was not too crowded. Hunter pets are still insanely buggy even at max loyalty. They don’t listen, follow you instead of attacking mobs when you’re spamming pet attack. There’s also a hunter bug where your pet becomes unhappy at the end of a BG.
As we learned from the start of the Stress test there were too many servers for the amount of people that played. Please consider merging servers on launch after a few months when the hype dies down. Prioritize names to the people who selected the name first.
Starting zones were super crowded, but once I made it to Silverpine Forest there was almost no one around
Compared to the last 2 stress tests this one was much better. the few slight bugs there was. have been fixed and also the constant d.c and stuff was much better, also the layer helped some for the starting zones plenty of people but maybe abit to many people. but i found it not bad it was way way better thank you for the invite
Great experience today. Not too many other players. End of the stress test wasnt laggy at all for me.
