Incentives.
Free Horde -> Alliance faction xfers.
Faster Alliance leveling
Some sort of reward for pvping for alliance (badges, primal nether, etc).
Anything to get more Alliance in the queue before you throw the faction into the trash.

Won’t work. If people won’t transfer servers for free, why would you think they’d change factions for free?
So make the alliance OP. To make a difference you’d have to make the alliance so OP that people actually want to switch factions and then you’ll just end up in the same situation but with the alliance over populated.
Problem is, most alliance don’t care about pvp in the 1st place.
be incentivizing people that want to pvp to roll alliance you dimwit, I hate horde pvpers that solely play horde
And how would you incentivize horde to switch to alliance?
So instead of trying to actually fix the problem it’s fine to just go nuclear and destroy any opportunity the Alliance side had to get more players?
You realize this goes both ways. In wrath when the bandwagon players go Alliance to stack EMFH because WOTF is nerfed you’ll have this same terrible situation but reversed.
nerf horde racials like wotf and hardiness while buffing alliance ones like escape artist and shadowmeld
yes sure “make them OP” keep whining about that but it should and will happen
and if you think by them being OP any die-hard horde players are going to switch you’ve got another thing coming
some of these stubborn bull-headed zugzugs wouldn’t swap to alliance if it gave them a full blue set of gear, this complaining about them being op and having more population is only going to balance the open world pvp situation on most realms
Offer a solution that would actually address the problem.
Free faction transfers wouldn’t work and make the the alliance OP to the point of people actually reroll just causes the same problem.
Right, so break the game in the favor of the alliance to get more people to roll alliance and cause the same issue of faction imbalance but in favor of the alliance. Brilliant plan.
THIS IS PERFECT and I AM SO HAPPY.
I offered 3. You’re nitpicking one.
So far I love the reduced queue times, and the feeling to PvP at a whim is awesome. Feels very fun. As a long time PvPer, I don’t get very disoriented when playing on the opposite as I have characters on both factions.
My only criticism is perhaps finding a way to match premades that queue against other premades appropriately. Premades definitely have an advantage over teams that are not grouped or organized beforehand, and with queue times being a LOT faster, I would argue that premades should wait a bit longer in order to be appropriately matched.
Thank you for reading!
I picked apart all three but sure, say I am nitpicking one.
This is amazing thanks!
RIP Alliance on PvP servers
If you think making the alliance OP enough to get people to switch factions will some how magically balance the factions, then I’ve got ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.
Competition is up 10 fold. Sweaty WSGs and back-and-forth ABs
Facing teams that want to play and getting way less teammates AFKing.
Queues are instant and cycle as you get out of the last. Great change.
its horrible for faction balance, but absolutely awesome for my desire to play BGs.
Got in a game instantly. Masks are funny but id ditch em long term.
Will continue to subscribe if this the new BG experience. Roleplayers and other forum LARPers can continue to cry while we play the game and it’s just great
please keep this forever. having fast queue times as horde is amazing
Internet tough over here who plays the easy mode faction saying others are noobs. The irony! LOL!
