The problem back then wasn’t that all the players tried to be tryhards and picked horde cause of the OP pve/pvp racials back then, which is why the queue wasn’t 1 hour.
But its 2021 now and most players think they have to tryhard so they go with the bis racial faction.
I love how you made the argument but failed to understand why horde had 1 hour queues in the first place in classic TBC.

I play alliance mostly. Overall, it reflects something bad about the game that the faction imbalance is so extreme. On the other hand, I love winning in AV.

You and your friends can still have instant ques on the faction that isnt best represented literally by an actual line to enter an activity. Sorry that your choices restricted your play, that is sort of how that works. Sad I stayed alliance in classic after trying alliance in classic because I wanted to be the dominant faction in AV this time (played horde last time). 0 point to be here, and now ive wasted a fair amount of my guilds time and loot to have to reroll zuggy lumps anyway.

No one is forcing you to play horde. If racial abilities have this much effect on you ability to have fun, you are in the wrong genre. This isn’t a battle Royale game, or a moba. This is an mmorpg. There’s always someone better geared or more skilled.
Enrolling horde won’t fix 99% of allies problems, because almost all of those problems exist between the ears.

The same battlegrounds is a fantastic change that has made several of my friends who quit come back.
I only ask that you please remove the tabard and mask, they’re silly. An MMO should not look for more opportunities to impact player appearance than needed.

The racial disparities, while they are an issue, are not the biggest issue.
The biggest issue is in the difference between the Horde and Alliance player pools.
As someone who was a Horde main for many years and switched to Alliance for a few years following that…there’s a marked difference with respect to faction attitude and activity level.
For PVP, Horde is the overwhelmingly clear choice.
If I had a choice of being on a random Horde team and a random Alliance team, I’d chose Horde every time.
Even when Horde are losing, they keep trying.
I have been in Horde BG chat before; there is decidedly more productive communication focused around playing the objectives and trying to win.
Keep the fast BG queues PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF PVP!!! No PVE’R whom is saying “we want to play the original game” Is complaining about pvpers being able to play on the Horde faction… OR GIVE US FREE FACTION CHANGE

Yea, no. Its the same poopoo everywhere.
Horde quit when they are down and there’s a ton of AFK’s all the time.
Same thing happens to Alliance.
There is literally the same issues on both sides.
I would say that the Horde are less receptive to feedback and decisions because each of them have their own opinion.
If you are deciding this season, right now, what Faction you want to be, it depends on your comp. 2’s benefits Dwarf Priest and Human Rogue immensely as that completely counters any rogue / x team which are basically the higher teams.
Everything else depends. So there’s a balance there already. Horde is not the clear winner and neither is Alliance, its just dependent on what YOU want to do. If I wanted to push 2’s ratings with a rogue, I would hands down be Alliance.

These 1m queues are great and I love them.
My only complaint is that more often then not I seem to be shuffled off to the Alliance team for some reason and it is still a bit disorienting. Not used to being on the Alliance side and having to look at the Alliance markers for stuff.
