Let’s just say - if I (personally) had a choice of picking between being on horde BG teams or Doing arena with Horde versus Alliance arena teams… It would be a clear choice for me…and my choice would be Horde.
But then I’d have to re-roll, which I’m not going to do. So I’ll probably just take a hard pass on PVP for all of TBC and it won’t be my issue.
If you get same faction queues… It might be a non issue for you (for a time) unless aggregate participation just drops into the basement.
If that happens, (and I hope it doesn’t cause I don’t want anybody to get screwed) I can tell you the current design team (if they even have a game designer on Classic) doesn’t appear to have the sand to fix the issue.
I would continue to urge the development team to consider horde-to-alliance transfers as a better, permanent, and more fair way to address queue times (as well as being truer to original TBC, for whatever that is worth).
If, however, the dev team is insistent on implementing this “fix,” then you also need to to do something bold to boost alliance because this really will hurt alliance pvp community, which certainly your data already shows. The loot boxes won’t cut it. You need to give people a pvp reason to roll alliance and stay alliance. My suggestion is bonus honor for underrepresented faction (scaling up to perhaps 30% depending on how imbalanced it is) and perhaps small boosts to alliance racials (e.g., combat-usable shadowmeld, etc).

The problem isn’t 100% PvP. Let’s compare racials from a min/max perspective.
Horde gets Blood Fury (+DPS -healing that DPS should need tons of), Berserking (+haste), War Stomp (AoE Warrior tank stun with a separate +stam racial), and Arcane Torrent (crap mana/energy pot when needed)
Alliance gets extra weapon skills (Human and Dwarf), Stoneform (free Cleanse for certain effects), Quickness (bit of dodge), and extra Int.
The min/max culture saw the writing on the wall and went Horde for max DPS.

why?
fanboys and metaslaves rolling horde, stronger racials or not, irrelevant at this point, u know the majority is playing it so let some horde that regret their reroll go (back) to ally
if you’re bold and have any actual game designer left, throw in some minor changes to racials or something other than this useless enlisted bonus, even if it’s just to bait metaslaves to go ally just to balance out the imbalance

Lets not get confused here, dwarfs and humans are getting 5 Expertise, which is 38 Expertise rating… passive. Bloody fury averages out at about 35 AP with a 2 minute cooldown, Berserking is an ever longer cooldown at 3 minutes and requires you to be damaged, if you’re at 100% hp its about 0.5% haste average, 1.5% if you push it to the limit.

Man, can I just say that perception is sum buuuuuuulllll
Left out that orc stun resist. And wotf has so many more practical uses than perception has vs a team without stealth.
Can I ask why there turning it off for a second time?

Everyone seems to be enjoying pvp much more. No more long queues and no more premades have made bgs worth queueing for.

Its not a fix of the problem at its core… do it fix the ques ?, yes, but thats not the the problem… The problem is faction imbalance and this will make that only worse…
As much as its great people wont have ques, its sorta sad, people want a fix that make pvp sorta one sided… WoW is at its core about two factions…

So this is great for the casual player, but the serious pvpers just got slapped across the face. Will there be free faction changes provided for the alliance since the only advantage to rolling alliance is now gone? My entire classic account is set up for faster pvp queues, and I have suffered the pve consequences of rolling alliance for a reason. Why should I be penalized? I’m not against this change, but at the very least you need to compensate the people that have been screwed over. Enlistment bonuses are negligible and barely scratch the surface of what alliance should be compensated. Again, there are people who are deeply invested in alliance solely because they thought a change like this would never happen.
Alliance-only dual spec would be sufficient

alliance needs better rewards if blizzard are going to keep accommodating horde players and giving them every advantage possible while stripping every advantage from the alliance. the pity bg rewards are a joke. need better items, or more honor gain from somewhere. devs need to ask themselves, why would anybody choose alliance now?

yes please do, gnome racial is too good and must be removed. and so should human rogues. way too good in arena. you goofed it by playing a human warlock. but you made your bed, now sleep in it bub.
I like how everyone says that people who rolled horde are ‘meta slaves’ or doing it for ‘op racials’ but did it maybe occur to these people that they rolled horde for other reasons? Maybe I like playing a sexy belf instead of a ugly hooman? Hmm, didn’t think of that, did ya? Who plays a fantasy game to be a hooman anyway. Smh.
