Now that you have had ample time to analyze the statistics of same faction battlegrounds, go ahead and bring them back. I just want to play with friends and no one wants to sit in a queue as a group for an hour at a time. Alliance get to just queue up with friends who are willing to wait 30 seconds for a queue. Just let us play the game. Sorry the alliance is salty that we can play with friends with instant queues. Not sure what else there is to analyze besides people having fun playing your game.

I think the neatest change would be to let allince fight allince and horde fight horde for a while. Let allince feel 50 minute queues because their faction doesnt queue, let them feel the heat of premades every match after long queues, let them feel the pain of setting alarms early in the morning so you can barely manage to keep up
let the horde have instaqueues and free honor for a few months like ally had literally every second of the game up until now and see how long they still complain about merc mode

Only solution at this point is to reimplement HvH bg’s. They can’t tease horde with instant queues then take them away for good. Blizz would lose too much $ to horde unsubs.
However, alliance is not happy with the change, and you could argue they are justified. I think Blizz will HAVE to make some benefit or buff to alliance in order to make everyone content with these changes. Be that dual spec, increased rewards from pvp, or some other advantage remains to be seen. I think that’s blizz only option if they want to make both sides happy and try to minimize lost subs and lost $

to an extent, sure… but not over an hour wait just to be fed to a premade for 5-10min then forced to sit another hour+ wait.
as a company where the almighty dollar is boss, do all you selfish bastards really think they’re willing to let the supposed “overwhelming” side quit and take their money elsewhere just to satisfy a few only worried about their personal experience so they can stay ahead of the gearing curve?

i wish they would just to prove to all you doomsayers that think there would be a mass exodus of horde just to get instant queues… how delusional one must be…
putting bgs on hold until enough transfer would just cause even more people to quit rather than xfer like you think… not to mention server pop doesn’t mean dick when it comes to bg queues- it’s x-server genius. (well maybe you think it’s only server based because all alliance ever do is premake to run bgs)
and i got some ocean front property in arizona to sell to you, reeeeal cheap.
Give us Warmode and increase honor gains 4x, nobody actually wants to drain 12 hours a day into pvp gear. We all just want to play the game not waste our time

The previous BG weekend was the most fun experience I’ve had across my entire time on classic. I’m not bothered who I’m fighting as long as I haven’t had to wait an hour to get into a BG! Now the change is reverted and its the same story as before, back to 1-1.5 hour BG q’s just to join half done losing games or premade alliance teams.
Myself and many others I talk to on the subject would not be willing to switch to Alliance to get around this. Horde racials/dominance is not the reason many people play horde to begin with, they just look cooler, have cooler cities, casting animations and many more smaller aesthetic factors that heavily sway the decision. When I’m playing a fantasy game I dont especially want to play a human, a miniature human, a purple human, a barrel shaped human or a squid faced human… I estimate that “Free faction changes” would have little uptake and be a useless alternative solution.

Using hyperbole doesn’t give your opinion more merit. There doesn’t need nor should there be a mass exodus. Horde would most likely still outnumber alliance for PvP, but it would reduce their queue times, which is what most of you seem to want.
There were players on this forum and on twitter begging for horde to alliance transfers before Blizzard brought beta testing to tbcc. All we can do is speculate on the effect of this when it’s never even attempted.

As an alliance player on a pvp server where horde outnumber us, I have to advocate against same-faction queues as it stands to further exacerbate the problems that have ramifications outside of the pvp bg scene. When our population decreases (whether through people quitting/transferring/rerolling horde or by stymieing new ally player growth on our server), it means fewer people farming items for the AH, options for pug heroics/raids, etc. This is why many other Alliance (whether they are sincere or trolling) recommend rerolling to alliance since it would generally serve to alleviate the problem while also strengthening their faction’s community on pvp servers.
For someone in my position, wpvp zones like halaa are always there to satisfy any pvp cravings. However, I think there are avenues for compromise that could be reached between same-faction queues and maintaining Alliance’s perk of insta queues for those that would care to take advantage of it.
Perhaps it’s something that is toggled on during pvp weekends? Or if it is on full-time, maybe it tries to match against the opposite faction for 5-10min before matching against the same faction.
Something I’ve seen suggested that I think would get even someone like me to queue up more frequently would be to add a badge of justice reward to the pvp daily for when there is a large enough disparity between factions queuing up.

As an Alliance PvPer - I lost more games last weekend then I have the past 6 weeks (pre-patch to now). I also fought more premades last weekend in ALL the BGs…

oh we see why they dislike it- they’re losing their only overwhelming advantage of gearing up a hell of a lot faster… and that has been written countless times.
See now these are some reasonable suggestions to be honest. I don’t feel that most people are seeking permanent INSTANT Q’s, but the 1-1.5 hour Q times are rediculous and ruin the game for pvp focussed horde.
Surely a middle ground can be found…

How does fast horde queues disadvantage the alliance battleground experience? Weren’t alliance queues still near instant? Also, join/organize your own premade if you’re facing a lot of premades
I like how the entire alliance argument is based around the idea horde must suffer or no one will play with them just lmfao insta ques permanent or unsubs
