Bud its not about whether or not we are on former PvP servers. Its about how 2/3 of these portals is in neutral territory, and the last one is in the middle of SW. Im okay with PvP. What Im not okay is being forced into situations where I cannot come out on top.
you don’t really need to do all three - just join a group and do several for each spawn in the location you want.
My feedback is why doesn’t anyone who designs these “events” keep notes as to why they are all released broken in the same way every time.
And I don’t know, Maybe read those notes and maybe learn enough after the Nth amount of time the events are a broken hot mess.
I can’t believe the low quality Blizz thinks is acceptable the last handful of years and we the players never ever learn feedback will be ignored because feedback like this doesn’t generate revenue.
Nice try but none of this matters and the only thing they look at now is profit over quality.

The odds don’t seem to be terrible. It’s just a matter of fighting Blizzard’s poor design choices. That is where the struggle actually lies.

So far… 13 portals - only 2 loots… odds are not very in my favor at all. What happened to the other 11 kills? Yeah - no ability to even attempt to loot like the OP said in their 1st part of their statement. Something is clearly not right. Oh yeah, and those 2 loots i mentioned, yeah they were just 2 cards. This might be the worst event I’ve experienced in all my years.
The rewards are lack luster as is the entire event. I’m honestly impressed by how cheap they made it seem in game.
I don’t think people would be getting as worked up about the event as they are if this was true.
It’s the forums, people complain about anything on days that end in y around here. I’m also allowed my opinion on the rewards because that’s the only reason I would bother to participate. And I feel the rewards are lack luster. You don’t have to agree and frankly I’m not too concerned if you do or don’t.

What sorts of rewards do interest you these days? (are you not interested in a pet/mount/toy/etc in general or are the appearances just not to your tastes?)
Of all the toons I logged in yesterday only one had a mail giving the quest, and she is the one I have played the least.
Not even sure how to get my mains on tge quest to even try to do it.
YES!, and the timer is horrible, I feel myself aging as I wait here…
Wish there was a persistent timer in the area on how much longer the next portal opens.
Likewise, I feel like a week is too short for the event, its suppose to be a celebration of the Hearthstone game, why is it just a week long with horrible RNG? Please for the love of god at least increase the Drop rates of these items…

Let me be clear - my experience was different to yours. Since I am on an Oceanic server, my experience is frequently different to larger US servers. Hence I said, its possible a server (as in population pressure) issue. And if you don’t remember the frequent massive zone wide lag that occurred for world boss fights in Shadowlands, I am not responsible for your memory.
Just went through yet another hourly portal event where the lag was so bad I couldn’t even tag the boss to get loot. So yet another event where I don’t get even a chance at loot. How is this so bad, Blizzard? I only have a few of these portals to do a day and the drops are already horrendous enough without the lag negating my ability to tag anything.

I’d love to give feedback on the Hearthstone event but the server gets so lagged and crashes so hard when the event itself starts that I can’t even tag the mobs before they’re all dead.

Not to mention this would help reduce the extreme server lag as it would split the population by 3 instead of having everyone in 1 area
Weirdly all three portals were up at once, this go round. Durotar crashed the server twice and the boss never spawned but SW and Val were both fine.
Blizzard hotfixed portals to appear at all 3 locations at the same time every hour.

Hopefully they extend it with some kind of hotfix that removes the RNG factor. I really want to earn the rewards, but I can’t spend all day playing anymore. 
Right now its about to come up on the top of the hour here in Val…where the next portal is suppose to spawn…but guess what it spawned 30 mins early and there were only a couple of players here …I have WA up and its still me the portal will spawn in Val…fix the spawn issues.
I am waiting here to see if it will spawn again in Val at the top of the hour…will edit this post if it does.
