Just wanted to post some feedback regarding the Hearthstone Event currently up for the week in-game.
Regarding the Event itself:
The event itself is enjoyable, But I do find it extremely glitchy. I’ve killed several bosses already today on the first day and received no loot at all. Didn’t even get the option to loot the boss even though I had tagged it and never died.
Some of the lag associated with this event should be addressed. If there is a lot of players in the area - Even those with high-end gaming rigs, Will receive a low framerate with very bad lag.
Regarding RNG Rewards:
I feel all of the rewards that are based on RNG should have been added to a vendor and not based off a drop rate which no one knows at this time. There is several players including myself that are very limited how many kills they can get in this week due to real life stuff such as work.
In my opinion, There is zero reason why all of these rewards should be gated behind an RNG drop and not on a vendor for a specific amount of currency. The currency could have been obtainable for doing stuff during the event and then traded for rewards.
Regarding the Portals: Update: All Portals now spawn per hour as per This Thread!
I do wish that all (3) portals would spawn all at once and not in a rotation between Orgrimmar, Stormwind City, and Valdrakken. There is lots of players out there that are still confused with the rotation and this would help immensely.
I couldn’t agree more… The super low drop “event” and holiday items has honestly just made me not even try anymore. I tried to get several and the drop rates were so low, I didn’t even KNOW SOMEONE who had gotten one. I mean… do you WANT us to play with the things you make or not?
Though right now I would simply love to know WHERE THE HELL ARE THE TABLES TO PLAY AT??? I don’t see one in the areas where the event happens in the cities. I can “see” other people playing because it shows up in the chat log, but nothing is visible anywhere. Anything I stand next to and try to use the Shady Dealer cards says “You can’t use that right now”.
It’s a disappointing event. I will keep trying, because achievements are important to me. But there are many glitches and several occasions with no loot. Seriously, I need 10 cards and have had 2 card drops in over 10 kills. This is nuts.
I shouldn’t have tried. I went to the Org spawned boss. Managed to hit it, even though lagged to hell. Boss of course has stun/instant kill attacks as if you can dodge anything at all while basically lagged out, staring into the sun there are so many spells going off. I died, ran back and nothing was lootable.
I shouldn’t have bothered. I sure as hell am not losing another hour of sleep to trying again.
Pretty much similar sentiments. Time is limited. Waiting for a hourly timer and coordinating in one of three cities only to tag the spawn but get no loot due to server tag from overpopulated sharding…pretty crappy. Or the next in rotation just doesn’t spawn a portal whatsoever nor any others logging around.
Not only is stormwind being directly in the city crappy for those that don’t have ally toons, but their death run back if you get locked up from the lag and caught in mechanics is the worst of the 3 as well. Thankfully that one I still got loot but I can only imagine the frustration for those that did not due to irregularities/glitches.
Also to add, only one week plus a 8 hour maintenance tomorrow. Which normally, yes, I won’t complain about maintenance but to put a very limited event with this many bugs and RNG in the mix is just low.
I am sick and tired of Blizzard making events that show absolutely no consideration for their player’s time. Instead of actually being out in the world playing the game, I’m stuck sitting in org, sw, or valdrakken waiting for these portals to spawn.
When you get 10 cards you can place your own table, so it appears to be a player driven experiment.
As for the OP, the main problem right now is the event is too popular, leading to localised rollbacks and time outs. It’s taken 30mins and 1 crash to get through the last event on MG.
They had all day to fix it. No fix. Shows how little they care since Big PvE events for M+ and raiding get fixes immediately despite less players doing them.
I always do a long distance tag first on each spawn before going in there dpsimg it down. I would suggest just tagging if your item level is low, because it de-spawns fast and by the time you reach your corpse it’s gone and you can’t loot it.
Yeah, the stun daze seems to be in the malee area.
I think it should spawn at least every half hour and be in all the cities. If they’re going to have RNG drops, they need to make it happen more often.
Also, they could have added the currency idea as well. Play a hearthstone game and you get one currency. Win and you get five. Price the items reasonably. Maybe make the biggest ticket ones 20 currency (4 wins or 20 games completed wouldn’t feel too onerous).
The problem with that is even just tagging it at range is bugged due to the server lag.
I stayed back, crackled, never died, damage meter confirmed damage…no loot.
Just submitted a Support Ticket over this event as I’ve killed all (3) bosses (5) times now. And with every kill I cannot even loot the corpse. Event is clearly bugged and I cannot do this all week cause of work.
Hoping a Game Master can fix this for me, But average wait for a response is (2) weeks. Not going to be happy with Blizzard at all if I don’t get a single reward from this event. Starting to feel cheated out of my loot now. So offering 300k gold on my server for the mount at this time.
I’m completely confused about the rotation of the portals. I downloaded a weak aura to help, went to that location and nothing spawned. Cant see portals on the map.
This event is so frustrating and not fun at all
