You don’t read much news or exist in the world as a non-straight person. Everywhere we can be legislated out of public and political life, we are, from school boards up. If you don’t see it, then it isn’t impacting you, but just because you don’t see it, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. The GOP scrubs it from their platform so you can’t find evidence in writing, but in public speeches and in policy initiatives, they want LGBTQ people out of teaching jobs, disqualified from adoption, and shut out of marriage.
Again, if it doesn’t touch you, it still exists. It just doesn’t impact you. But it impacts us.

Most people don’t play WoW for the story, this is the flaw in the logic. While many of those who don’t play because of story can still find offense in the pendulum being swung completely in the opposite direction of their personal narratives and preferences.
The George R. R. Martin School of Gender Studies, folks.
The infantile hatred and revenge narratives (in this thread, misandry) espoused by some “progressives” (Marxists / Neo-Maoists) now is utterly ironic, and generates more of the cycle of hatred. The torch they carry reveals the shadow within for all to see. If you are actually for equality, you wouldn’t have thought about people in terms of superficial groups playing for power to begin with. Check your postmodernist cult indoctrination and live in reality like an adult, as an individual with ideas, values and goals, striving for meaningful self-interested action and fulfilment.

I’m happy to have a real conversation, although I’m off in 10 minutes.
I’ll trust you for people targeting others for their sexual orientation, I don’t know enough about it I guess.
Regarding lgbt being portrayed as politicised:
- Plenty of people will have friends that might be lgtq and really appreciate those people as individuals, they are people who they know, respect and enjoy their presence.
- Sexual orientation just isn’t a topic of conversation they probably discuss a lot. For instance, I have plenty of friends of various sexual orientations, tbh some of them I have no idea who or what they like it’s just not that important to me. Equally, I really don’t want to hear about what my straight friends like either.
- Sexual orientation is politicised, by this I mean there’s a heavy handed approach to support of the lgbtq community, which is great. But what happens is even people who grew up with more gay friends than anyone else I knew of (as someone who is straight), I have been actively insulted online countless times for wanting more “manly men” for instance in warcraft. Someone suggested I dislike gay people (and I got temp banned for it) when my post wasn’t even mentioning the lgtq community. Really bizarre. It was strange and awkward. Now I still now have friends of various sexual preferences, and I support them, just like I support any of my other friends. But supporting a movement that actively seems to want to alienate people who do support the lgbtq community is bad. The politicization for many is a turn off, to what is essentially at the core just basic human decency. So I can understand people supporting lgbtq but not supporting the politicization of the movement.
This is just one example, I think the overall sentiment is taking something that is supposed to be positive and making it negative. For instance, specifically excluding men when you advocate for inclusivity. People can detect hypocrisy pretty easily especially if it’s geared towards them.
This is a complex subject and I probably could have been worded better, with better examples but I hadn’t given this topic a lot of thought and wanted to provide you with a response. I’m also out of time and might not be back. Btw this was meant in good faith fyi with no bad intentions or trying to be provocative (as I know on forums, its probably best to clarify).

I personally don’t care about Faerin. I actually had to search her up on wowhead to figure out who she was and why this is such an issue.
Still not sure why people are caring about this character.
I mean all I have to do is look at the Loading Screen for Kalimdor/Eastern Kingdoms to see the disparity. It was 2/10 leaders back in Cata.
Now that we have the opposite(and I would argue this is just to actually just to even the scales) people are having a fit.
Could it possibly due to them pushing lgbt agenda instead of teaching the subject they were hired to teach?

You are both wrong. Please stop spreading misinformation. “Satan” is not real. It’s a character in a fictitious book. Also, “Satan” is the good guy in that fictitious book just to clarify.
Need to play Olympic Volleyball with they stretch.
People have kneejerk reactions and quickly categorize others. That’s the risk of anonymous online interactions, I’m afraid.
It’s an unfortunate fact that politics have to be involved because their rights are still in question. This is especially true for trans people, and I’m sure I don’t have to explain that. But the current Supreme Court has been rumored to be considering repealing gay marriage protection as well. That scares people, rightfully so.
Acceptance for LGBT has come a long way, but there’s many who would prefer it backslide, for religious reasons or political, or just general bigotry. It’s not something that people can just stop worrying about.
I appreciate you taking the time to explain, and hope you have a good day.

This launch has broken so many brains on all sides of all things. Interesting development!
There’s a reason they aren’t building homes, cleaning our streets, or maintaining our warfronts. Not. Leaders. Of. Men. Bad. Emotional. Crybabys.
Hence all these people are tired of the falsity and fake storylines where suddenly these same women are actually men with boobs. It’s weird. It’s forced. It’s unnatural.

No, it couldn’t possibly be that, because simply existing openly as an LGBTQ person isn’t pushing an agenda. It’s just reality. We exist. We don’t make people gay, just like you don’t make people straight. Get real.

What agenda is that, exactly
It honestly doesn’t seem like you know any women. Fix yourself.

My mom would hate seeing so many weak and pathetic men, as would all the other women in my life. Men don’t need to be torn down just so women can take their place. Both can be strong. Both can have a role. Both can be important.
Instead what we have is more dead, weak, and pathetic men and girl bosses.
