False reporting and automated ban

“Punish every other abuser”? ONLY ONE EXAMPLE has been presented of any abuser being punished.

If your’e not saying that no one has ever abused the system, and every abuser is punished, then why has no one been able to provide a single example of a player in WoW being punished for abusing the system? Why has only one example been provided of an abuser being punished for abusing the system, and that example not even from WOW?

I bet I would have trouble finding a case of death due to monkeys flying out of a persons butt, however that does not mean that monkeys flying out of a butt wouldn’t likely be fatal.

I agree that a temp ignore that is not tied to our actual ignore lists is better. The reporter doesn’t have to worry about giving up a precious ignore slot, but is no longer subjected to something that they found offensive enough to report.

I am sorry but I could not resist

Correct me if I am wrong, but is /trade not a global channel?

Even in retail /trade has become the default chat channel, has it not?

I do not recall Blizzard ever, even during vanilla, restricting /trade to actual trade usage or taking action against those who used that /trade for “reasonable discussions” and did not violate the TOS/EULA with regards to language.

Your only concern is trying to see classic made as far from vanilla as possible and an auto squelch would mesh with that agenda.

I think we all can see why you support that auto squelch and it has nothing to do with “teeth”.

So really you just want to be able to troll public chat channels with impunity? Sorry you’re going to have to watch your mouth in classic.

LOL, yes exactly what I said, all other abuser are punished , yet repeated abusers(as they have said exactly will be punished) somehow are not? Come on now.

Lol, I am saying exactly what I just said above, if other abusers get punished, why would repeated abusers be immune? or those who don’t do repeated that they somehow determine abuse it.

no im saying the ignore that happens with a report is not tied to your ignore list now.

Show us all more than one (not even WoW) example of people who abuse the system being punished. Show us all examples of repeated abusers of the system being punished more severely.

Nor should it be.

There should be no auto squelch tied to the report system, either, IMO.

Says the person who knows full well that GM actions are never discussed with anyone, ever.

As if you didnt know that.

Okay Im going to ask

If they say it will be in the game, what then. What will you do.

“I didn’t see it so it didn’t happen” come on now, so Blizzards own official statement means nothing now?

Why would repeated abusers, or abusers they determine be immune from punishment?

I don’t think I agree with the logic that just because a broken system is broken we should live with it…

If they decide that classic will have an auto squelch, I will have to decide what I will do at that time.

What will you do if they decide that you cannot have the option to collude with your friends and guild mates to squelch any other player for any reason, even if that other player never broke any rules?

And yet someone was able to provide one example.

I guess any evidence of all those other abusers that were punished is above top secret clearance and has been redacted by the government, right?

Well seeing as I never do this, nothing.

GMs do not discuss what action is taken on accounts.

I know it.

You know it.

At this point? The game isn’t even out yet lol. How could there possibly be repercussions for false reporting when there’s no reporting?
