False reporting and automated ban

:joy:

But won’t those sticky notes take up your screen? You won’t be able to see anything!

The sarcasm is palpable here. Love it :ok_hand:

Rival/Enemy faction guild leaders will get reported to sabotage raids.
Main tanks will get reported by rival guilds/enemy facitons to sabotage world bosses.
Aspiring Scarab Lords will get reported while they farm rep to sabotage their questing.

When my screen fills up I’ll have to buy a new monitor and set the old one on the side. :+1:

Authoritarian? favoring or enforcing strict obedience to authority, especially that of the government, at the expense of personal freedom.
Christ get over yourself with this melodramatic nonsense what is being asked of you is no different than what is asked of you at a damn restaurant, holy christ.

Some people don’t actually have a “blacklist”.

Some people are just deathly afraid that their behavior will land them on someone else’s “blacklists” and will do anything to try to avoid the consequences for their actions.

Some people don’t actually have a “blacklist”.

Correct. I actually find the idea of someone who actually has post it notes or a spreadsheet of people they deem “undesirable”…weil I could use a lot of words but “silly” and “petty” top the list.

Reminds me of a toxic little person outside WOW who actually kept logs of IRC chats for years…he is, and was, an utterly pathetic individual.

Some people are just deathly afraid that their behavior will land them on someone else’s “blacklists” and will do anything to try to avoid the consequences for their actions.

The fact anyone even keeps such a “list” speaks for itself.

(upon reading the months worth of posts in here) The melodrama and pseudo political diatribe being spewed in here is depressingly stupendous. I have no idea how most of you function in society if this is how you act and behave outside of the internet. Many of you need a vacation, and that’s not some coy joke about being banned I’m saying you need to get off the internet, maybe go to a beach or something, Impressively depressing.

So you’re trying to make the case, that if you had an item ninjad in your group, you would be entirely willing to group with the offending player again right after?

Because not wanting to group with undesirable players (for example, a loot ninja) is exactly what a blacklist is… A list doesn’t need to be written down, for it to exist.

The irony here is astounding… You are so blinded by personal hubris and your own perceived infallibility that you cannot see that this system can, does, and will get abused and exploited in a vanilla environment…

Let’s say it again for you slow kids in class… Nothing is stopping you from right click reporting, and LETTING A GM issue a punishment… The entire problem with the system is that YOU, THE BIASED PLAYER, are capable of rendering punishment, before an unbiased mediator can review the facts.

I’ve posted a story about a vanilla era friend a few times, and it still rings true as a perfect example of how this system breaks down.

Irony… I was just thinking the same thing about you, Aehl, and Ziryus. Your sad and pathetic attempts to desperately cling to this issue, presumably out of some weird sense of entitlement, astound me. Punishment should NEVER be up to players to dish out, before GM review… It’s really not a difficult concept to understand, when you accept the basic reality that people can be biased and then corrupt the system.

I’ve already repeatedly posted an example of how it can/would get exploited and none of you three have been yet able to respond intelligently. Perhaps YOU should get off the internet, if you can’t manage to play a “T” rated game on any setting higher than Disney “G” without losing your mind.

It doesn’t have to be “common” to be a problem. Any time an innocent person is punished by the system it is a problem no matter how uncommon an occurrence it might be. Or would you enjoy being thrown in jail a dozen years for a crime you didn’t commit?

Mate: I dont lose a moments sleep over pixels in a video game. You might want to follow that example.

Its . a. computer. game.

Perspective , man. Really.

I dont see anyone as “undesirable”. Never have. Never will.

This is exactly the problem. Thanks for being the voice of reason this far into the thread.

I don’t buy it. This is too extreme right? I mean really? If this is true, you are really a unique player of MMO’s.

It’s been said multiple times. It’s just the pro-change crowd in this case refuses to admit that it is the proper stance, they are all for mob rule and driving players away from a non-vanilla-esque classic.

I mean I love the one guy in favor of the auto system telling people to go visit Salem. Yeah, do so and see what happens with mob rule, exactly what he is pushing. /facepalm

Wonderful… now that you’ve blatantly confirmed you’d be willing to actively group with known ninja looters during vanilla, we can go on entirely disregarding the rest of your nonsense as trolling.

Thank you for confirming it.

I find you and your trolling on actual issues that impact actual game design, that people spend actual time on, to be undesirable.

I dont care. Its a fact. Deal with it.

I am unique, yes. Arent we all?

Mate: If you or anyone else keeps a “blacklist”, if you or anyone see others as “undesirable”…uninstall, the game, turn the computer off.

If you get this torqued over who gets what in a game, leave the game. Your perspective and your priorities need work.

I do not, nor will I ever, nor do I WANT to have a mentality that tags ANYONE as “undesirable”.

The day I do is the day I quit WOW and walk away.

Wonderful… now that you’ve blatantly confirmed you’d be willing to actively group with known ninja looters during vanilla, we can go on entirely disregarding the rest of your nonsense as trolling.

Disagreeing with you isnt trolling, mate.

So when did you start playing WoW?

Me?

Oct 2010.

Trying to pretend that you would be willing to group again with a player who just cost you hours/days/weeks/months/years of time by ninja looting a desired item, on the other hand… Yeah… Obvious troll is obvious.
