You have just chosen to ignore and dismiss them because they do not leave you the option to conspire to with other a small number of players to silence (squelch) any other player at any time for whatever little slight you think you had to suffer.
If you wish to see those suggestions again, feel free to scroll back through the thread for posts I have made or do a forum search.
That’s what I suggest! The ones that report for “bad language”, I mean. We’re not talking about the manual Silence, we’re talking about the AUTO-Silence. This WHOLE time.
EDIT:
You’re going off topic, again. Nobody said anything about “extensive” abuse. At least, I’m not. Either way, the fact that it CAN be abused, is a problem. And my Question didn’t get answered:
Dramatizing this isn’t going to change Blizzard’s mind. They have a system, they intend on using it and they know how often it’s been abused, yet they’re intent on using it anyways.
You’re not going to change their minds by screaming the sky is falling with absolutely no evidence.
Is that because this particular poster defends the decisions that Blizzard has made regarding certain aspects of Classic? Or is it because that particular poster copy pasted the “Wall of No” a single time six years ago?
I guess that would make sense, you do believe a system will be extensively abused because you have video evidence of a single incident.
The “victim” of the system being abused is almost always targeted. The reasons for a particular victim being targeted will vary from victim to victim.
Billy is trying to sell the crusader enchant for 15G. Johnny is also selling the crusader enchant, but for 10G.
Billy gets enough of his friends to report Johnny for “spam” to squelch him in order to remove that competition.
Johnny is farming thorium ore. Billy is also farming thorium ore in the same zone. Johnny gets enough of his friends to report Billy for “botting” to squelch him and cause him to DC. Johnny gets a few minutes of unfettered farming, and puts himself ahead of Billy on the “circuit” of the zone before Billy can log back in.
Johnny is trying to grind to R14. Billy also is grinding honor. Johnny’s “group” has set up a system to set a rotation so that everyone in their group will get to R14. Billy, who is not a member of Johnny’s group, continues to grind honor throughout the week and “throws off” Johnny’s group’s rotation. Johnny’s group reports Billy for “cheating” or “hacking” in order to squelch him and “teach him a lesson”.
There are many reasons for targeting an individual player in order to abuse the system.
These fantasies of yours are not going to become reality. The system is almost assuredly going to remain as is, because the primary function is to remove Gold Sellers from chat in a timely manner.
You can keep repeating your hypothetical situations to the few people that waste their time reading them but it’s going to be for naught.
Or maybe that is because the totality of his posting history shows it.
I guess he never pushed for class balance and making hybrids equal to “pures” while retaining all of their utility? I guess he is not still pushing for dual spec?
In almost every case:
If those desiring a truer classic experience support something, he opposes that something.
If those desiring a truer classic experience oppose something, he supports it and claims that classic will die without it.
You’re not though. You’re repeating yourself and throwing ad hominems and NOT refuting ANY points.
EDIT: Do you deny the changes to the PvP Servers? Do you deny the changes to the Loot Distribution System? Do you deny Blizz changing their minds about Classic Servers?
EDIT 2: This isn’t Supposition. It’s FACT, and you won’t address it!
My suggestions address the issues with ticket response time in as timely a manner as those player imposed punishment squelch tickets are currently reviewed AND potentially decreases that response time via the escalation priority based on the total number of tickets received.
Define what you consider a “timely manner”.
More importantly define “timely manner” in a way that applies EQUALLY to ticket response time with and WITHOUT a player imposed punishment. Or do you feel that it is acceptable for a player to suffer an unwarranted player imposed punishment for what you would consider an “interminable amount of time” if no player imposed punishment were involved?
What victim?like i said before why would 5 people report a random person?if you were being a pain talking in gen chat or bgs talking 5 people can report you but why whould 5 people report a random player?
I thinking you are jumping on the streamer hate about it because they are the only ones that would be affected buy it.
Most of the false reports now are in rbgs.there is no arena or rbgs in classic a normal player should not worry about being reported unless he talks bad in chat.
Now on that not your more famous people like asmondgold, swifty and others are the one that should be worried about this but me and you shouldnt.
