Weak men and ugly women hate excellence and they contest the idea that average even exists and want to drag everything down to the worst, most ugly level out of resentment and envy.
Normal looking girls apparently can’t get representation anymore.

Just the same though, an appealing design isn’t going to make them interesting by itself. Someone else brought up Steller Blade which is the ur-example of this. The most generic waifu-bait of a character ever, and completely forgetable as a result.
Faerin at least looks unique and you can go “Yup, that’s Faerin Warcraft”

I can accept people shooting lightning and fireballs out of their finger tips.
But dont you DARE give me skin color variations that don’t like up with the real world.

It’s artist dependent. I don’t think there’s any source/credit on which artist or studio was used but some artists can be more used to drawing guys while some artists are better at drawing girls. It’s also why you’ll see a lot of feature differences among various forms of media because it’s highly unlikely that there’s 1 person designing everything
Why?
There’s no reason why every female character should look attractive in a video game. If anything that’s unrealistic, especially in a fantasy setting where things like expensive makeup collections, cosmetic surgery etc don’t exist.
If anything, female characters should be less attractive, not more, if the developers wanted to more closely fit the setting.
If you’re so desperate for games where every female is attractive, go and play a modded Skyrim and use all the mods you can to turn every female character into a super model with huge assets. That’s more your speed.

Its not always about how beautiful the character is. Characters can look cool without being made to a beauty standard. For one Faerin would probably look a lot better if she had longer hair and thats just changing one thing about the character.
She looks fine. Just an ordinary woman. If we’re complaining about no pretty characters, Xalatath is literally the narrator of the trailer lol.
