Yeah, well us Shamans never got our “full” revamp until early on in TBC, unlike you druids with your free innervate at 40 …
*Disclaimer, I was a drood in vanilla, and getting Mangle in TBC was op as heck – it was amazing.

Bus Shock.
Not really, they only perform better significantly in a raid environment thanks to multiple instant strikes, DW, or single focused scaling.
Elemental can’t 1shot - they can 2-3 shot but not 1 at Naxx gear level - and not 1 especially when I’m stacking stamina in PvP as is. They might 1shot a Mage but not me.
That being said, yes Elemental is deadly in AQ40/Naxx gear there is no doubt.
Yes, really. It’s not up for debate. Neither Shaman or Paladins can compete with Warriors, Mages, Rogues, Warlocks or even Hunters with an equal gear level when it comes to damage output. Good luck trying to get your guild to funnel plate dps gear through BWL and AQ (unless you’re Esfand). Warriors will leave you in the dust.
It depends how you count 1-shot.
True, there will be more than one spell involved, but if they time it right they can get 2-3 spells (depending on distance) to land simultaneously with no chance to react.
i just meant it as “all landing at once” like a Reck Bomb does - which in itself is multiple attacks but all landing at the exact same moment
Yeah, they can 1-shot you then, if you count that.
Top end triple crit max gear ele shaman damage is about 6-8k with trinkets and a perfect combo.
(Of course, it’s EXTREMELY unlikely, and you’ll probably get your bubble off before they land since you can see the lightning bolt traveling at you.)
Looks like your reading comprehension is a little lacking. Unless, you are going to argue that they all out perform shaman or paladin in all scenarios despite how fallacious that is?
The “virgin unwashed heathen” vs THE CHAD CRUSADER.
Horde: Easy mode pvp, Hard mode pve
Alliance: Easy mode pve, Hard mode pvp
People say that raiding is often like herding 40 cats.
Most Alliance PvP is like trying to co-ordinate 10-40 drunken cats on a battlefield.
I’ve been bringing this up for a long time but nobody seems to care. Paladins give Alliance a rather big edge in endgame PvE and also organized PvP, both directly and through PvE (easier and faster gearing).
It isn’t something people got to experience to its fullest back in the days, but if you have played on private servers, it becomes a rather big issue once the server is old enough and the faction balance turns into a joke with everybody joining alliance for that easy mode.
It would take a few tweaks to fix this, even toning down BoS/BoF/BoP would go a long way. It is unlikely that anything will happen though.
It’s not so much faction imbalance because of that, you could say the same for horde racials being Imba in PVP. Though i do agree Pally’s being much better healers and buffers then shammy’s do have effects, salvs > Air totem.
Pally healing is also just too good since it’s better / almost as good as priest depending on what / who you ask.
Ele shammy’s on the other hand are way better in orginized pvp once end game hits. It really does feel that horde = more pvp and ally = pve.
Absolutely not, we’re going with 1.12 and classes that scale the most with endgame gear are warriors and warlocks, both of which become so much more powerful with BoF/BoP. Paladin also doesn’t have to put himself in the range of intercepts to support people like shamans do if they want to drop totems, they’re also much more sturdier and downright impossible to lock down and burst in one go.
Don’t forget cleanse.
Sorry but PURGE and Two ele shammy’s can MELT anyone, with 1.12 use to do it all the time on Alkir, 4k double crits hurt since NR gear is AQ 40. Also while pally’s are sturdyier they can’t burst and play support they’re forced into defensive play while a shammy is much more versatile. Insta ghost wolf NR, frost shock kiting is the best!
Actually Ele’s damage output scales very well with gear thanks to a +100% crit damage bonus talent and a -1 second Lighting Bolt cast time talent.
Since spell damage is calculated from base cast time, Shamans get a 2.0 cast time spell that gets spell damage like a 3.0 cast time spell.
They go through mana faster than a frat house does beer kegs though.
Their burst is very situational and they put no real pressure outside of it, they’re also squshier than warlocks (yes, in a premade setting) and like you said, run OOM in no time. They’re great for solo/small group roaming but I was talking about premades where warlocks and warriors are kings.
Huh really? I do know you don’t need ANY gear to be great with a ele shammy in W PVP or in PVP in general, P servers proved that. Once you ding 60, and get some SP gear Etc, hop into your first WSG and you’ll burst everything, Purge + 2k crits when everyone is rocking at MOST plate users 3k, it’s great.
As for Araska, Warriors YOU NEED support without it you’re useless, so i wouldn’t count them as kings compared to warlocks. But once you’re in endgame gear Naxx wise the powerscale is way to huge to honestly judge.
“Also while pally’s are sturdyier they can’t burst”
RECK Bomb Paladin says hold my beer…
