Faction Imbalance Due to Paladins

Yea paladins are good, but horde is better overall. Alliance is just humans in different forms + night elves.

52 to 48 is a significant imbalance when taken in these kinds of numbers.

That being said, I don’t remember it being that close overall in Vanilla. I know my server, and many others, were massively imbalanced, 2 or 3 to 1 in favor of the Alliance.

That was then, this is now. People are smarter now. They’ve had 14+ years to perfect it. Fast forward a couple months after Classic releases and Horde levelers will be quite tired of Alliance gankers because they’re so outnumbered. Alliance will dominate in group environments. Casual and non-group PvP could go either way, but Alliance are going to be better in the group scenarios. Always. It’s going to be funny when all these Horde die-hards reach max level and realize they have to reroll.

D E U S V U L T !

Seriously though, I agree. I don’t mind, but I agree. Thankfully though, it won’t be that big of a gap. Especially if BC happens, in which horde is significantly better, a lot of people will roll Horde regardless. We’ll still see plenty of hardcore Horde guilds.

Edit: Nevermind, carry on.

Paladins are better than Shamans? PALADINS ARE BETTER THEN SHAMANS?

At least with a Paladin I can run away. They hit me with their hammer of justice and then I just run away because they’re slow. But Shamans…

FRAWSTSHAWK.

Then I get slightly away and…

FRAWSTSHAWK!

This continues until I die.

Always loved that video. People forget that the extra weapon procs from Windfury, could proc more Windfury.

Sure a Paladin can bubblehearth several times a day. But nothing matches the rage of a plate wearer being killed by multi Windfury procs in 1 second.

Showing your age here. Bloodlust (and Heroism) isn’t until TBC.

I remember the Boulderfist alliance bg team would use the mind control cap on a horde flag carrier, and have their paladin bubble them, thus making them instantly drop the flag.

Oh my gosh. My bad. I honestly did think it was in the game. Looked it up after reading your post to see I was mistaken. x.x

blood lust was not in vanilla, I believe. I could be wrong though

How can paladins be better than shamans when they have entirety different raid healing jobs than one another? How can one be better than the other when the other 2 offspecs are basically comparing apples to oranges?

I’d say a better idea would be to keep their damage as is, but remove the threat reduction passive from Battle and Berserker Stance. Nerfing their scaling would also nerf tanks because the best threat spec is actually fury and not prot. They are already limited by threat as is, so that would be a big nerf to them.

i heal with this…
Corrupted Ashbringer
Binds when picked up
Unique
Two-hand Sword
259 - 389 Damage Speed 3.60
(90.0 damage per second)
-25 Stamina
Durability 120 / 120
Requires Level 60
Equip: Inflicts the will of the Ashbringer upon the wielder.
No description: 28414
Equip: Improves your chance to get a critical strike by 2%.
Equip: Improves your chance to hit by 1%.
Chance on hit: Steals 185 to 216 life from target enemy.
“Blade of the Scarlet Highlord”

Are you CRAZY?

Four Horseman drops the best weapon of all time, and you link the WRONG ONE?

I’ll sit here with my glorious not over-sized at all Maul of the Redeemed Crusader, the best weapon ever put in the game.

Doesn’t really matter for Alliance Warriors because they have Salvation. What you’re suggesting is just a big nerf for Horde Warriors.

You thought wrong, friend. =(

Salv needs a nerf to 15% from 30% as well, but you still can’t just blindly nerf warriors without having to consider avoiding nerfing tank threat.

paladins always have been stronger then shamans but back then paladins didnt have windfury and storm strike and elemental casting line.

i chose the enhancement shaman back then because of its class utility wolves that healed, windfury, shocks ect…enhancement is a lot more fun to play then paladins.
