Faction Imbalance Due to Paladins

Racials can’t carry an entire faction more than an exclusive class can.

Is this the delete pallies from classic thread? Tempting but Nah. We can’t. They were there. As for their superiority? Lol. Bubblehearth. Omegalol. Making a pally bubblehearth is the same as killing them. You just don’t get an honor kill because the target was dishonorable. Would be so sweet if the game gave that message when they bubblehearth. Lol.

Nowhere in any posts is it implied that Paladins should be deleted. I am saying, both from experience in retail Vanilla and on private servers, Paladins make everything easier in raids and PvP, making it very clear the superior faction if you are competitive at all. I like Horde more, but they don’t get Paladins until TBC. Playing Horde is just playing with a disadvantage, clear and simple. This will be undeniably obvious once BWL releases.

Grass is great for your digestion and Tauren is by far the greatest and prettiest race in Azeroth.

The FOTM Undead Rogues are in for a surprise once they encounter Paladins.

The solution? Scissors ignores Rock and hunts for some paper.

Paladins are the real bulls of Classic.

To be fair Paladins in games like DnD/Pathfinder can be annoying to role play with.

It’s like I’m supposed to not go around stealing everything that isn’t bolted down or something.

You beat me to it!

I was gonna say, I don’t recall how many times a paladin saved themselves an absolute beat down by bubble/hearthing away.

I could have saved them mana with a double crit windfury, frost shock, warstomp chain lightning to the face. Geez.

RECK Bomb says hello friend

Initially, sure. I forget, was that still a thing after they changed it?

But please, keep sitting as I take batting practice… or do what they always do. Bubble/hearth your way back home. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Just seeing this topic come up brings back memories, the faction imbalance debate based on classes. I love it! Nothing should be done about it either! and I’m even going Horde!

Alliance was the overpopulated faction in Vanilla, though.

Horde has had a population advantage only very recently. Populations were strongly Alliance-favored overall (yes, specific servers were sometimes Horde-favored, but overall it was strongly Alliance) up until WoD.

oh dont worrie
paladin’s buffs could be buffed on mind controlled targets;
just take your pocket buffbots near the entrance of the instance and rebuff everyone every 15 min;
if you realy think that you need its buffs;

and shaman provide its buffs via auras, so alliance can’t take it that way;
i see an obvious horde superiority here, lol ;

and if you say that cross faction cooperation should be bannable,
we will look on its implementation;

I don’t “realy” think those buffs are needed to complete the content, it just gives a huge edge for Alliance raids especially to have Salvation. The damage buffed Fury Warriors can do with Salvation is unparalleled. It’s a lot harder to spam dispels and remove blessings than it is to kill totems with literally any hit.

It was never heavily anything. The most imbalanced the overall faction distribution ever was probably something like 52 to 48.

I think the population imbalance has more to do with the alliance having attractive races, since people who are actually going to care about the relative power of shamans v. paladins enough to influence their faction decision are going to be far outnumbered by the casual players who want to watch the female nightelf dancing on the mailbox.

Getting critically struck from being seated was part of the RPG element of the game, it’s core to the mechanics of certain AMBUSH classes like Rogues and Druids who play feral.

It just happened to work out for Paladin and Warriors who did make use of it.

I find it hard to believe that they would eliminate this design feature of Vanilla combat; yes it was 100% intended.

Now did they think about Paladin / Warrior / Bear using it? Not likely, but who cares it’s a very creative and interesting use of game mechanics.

Besides, nothing I cant deal with on Warrior / Druid, and not like a paladin can every touch me any way… No problems from where I stand.

I hope they tune down that warrior scaling. Why is a hybrid allowed to be the consensus #1 dps when every other hybrid is in the basement?
