Shamans didn’t have wolves in vanilla. They only wielded 2 handers and storm strike was terrible and took up a debuff slot for no reason
maybe wolves can in tbc i remember them there.you could dw as well in vanilla but yea windfury crits were the best.
one shotting mages was fun and 2 shotting rogues was funner.
Not really, unless you count the TBC prepatch 2.0.1 as vanilla.
Where is your time machine and can I try it?
Beat me too it…

Shaman are actually really good, just most people fail to use them properly… Wait a min, I am noticing something that Shaman and Paladin have in common; tons of players who refused to exploit their class mechanics to the fullest.
If I had this attitude when playing my hunter I would get rocked by warriors…
Put down your chainsaw and listen to me
It’s time for us to join in the fight
It’s time to let your babies grow up to be cowboys
It’s time to let the bedbugs bite!
I can’t wait to fight alongside paladins in BGs. If I’m a druid I’ll be rooting every single horde so they can get a taste of Light’s Justice.
I loved them because Blessing of freaking freedom is easily the best PVP buff in the world. EVER.
They don’t even need to be healers to give you the good stuff!
Would be a shame if someone were to purge it.
Is there a shaman viability thread?
Paladins are not better than Shaman in PvP. I’d take an Elemental Shaman over an HPal for small scale WPvP and organized BGs in a heartbeat.
Low CD ranged interrupt, low CD ranged snare, on demand AoE snare, offensive dispel, on demand AoE fear dispel, on demand AoE poison dispel, temporary spell immunity, windfury totem, solid healing, and the best single-target burst in the game with proper gear > dispelable blessings, single target magic/poison dispel, and low mana cost healing.
HPal is still good and has plenty of utility, but Elemental’s functional utility dwarfs it in comparison.
Am I missing something or are they removing guaranteed crits from sitting down in classic? It’s a core part of Elemental’s gameplay since I used to always /sit in between GCDs vs melee to soak a white hit and proc Eye of the Storm’s 100% pushback resistance.
Holy RECK Paladin says hello
Bro I used to clown you on Feenix 24/7. Can’t Reck bomb me when you HoJ into grounding totem 100% of the time.
you seem mad friend
I am mad that a peasant like you would dare to speak to me.
you replied to my post friend to begin this merry go round so yea…
It’s not the guaranteed crits but the fact that said guaranteed crits weren’t supposed to proc some effects like Reckoning, which is why you see some videos where the paladin is mashing x like a madman to abuse server latency and receive the hit while standing after they forced a crit while sitting, as Blizzard change the way those procs interact with forced crits during some patch (1.10 afaik).
