Delves. No point doing keys below a 5 especially as a tank.
Tanking got harder and I want to reach 605 on that alt to reduce the chances of getting clapped by the first round of unmitigated autoattacks.
Pugs suck at interrupting things.
Pugs suck at interrupting things.
Pugs suck at interrupting things.
Pugs suck at interrupting things.
Pugs are also bad at doing standard mechanics like helping with the Mists maze.
Pugs CBA to do the most basic things outside of their tunnelvision, like decursing themselves.
Pugs suck at interrupting things.
etc.
Not on the list at all:
Pugs pulling for me. Doesn’t happen. I keep moving so they KNOW if I stop it’s for a good reason.
Pugs complaining about my route. Do not care.
We wiped 2-3 times on LFR doing Bloodbound Horror, (first time doing the fight as a tank) and at least one or two players just called for the tank to be kicked.
Maybe Blizz should reassess the viability of 5 person content. I mean 20 years later it’s beginning to seem like their original expectations aren’t lining up with reality.
I think it’s more 95% of the game is solo content (questing, etc) that people can reach max level without ever learning to work with other people in the few pieces of content that actually require teamwork.
While I am sure that’s good for business, it makes for a miserable game experience because folks who did learn get frustrated with those who didn’t, and those who didn’t learn, get mad because they think the other players are trying to sabotage their success chance.
We saw the same issue in Legion with the Mage Tower - people who didn’t play their class well never were able to complete it, and still complain about it to this day.
maybe the are just tanking with 1 or 2 people in delves and having fun and not being criticized for not turning 30 min dungeon experience into a 5 min zerg run.
to build on this, which is correct, they also undermined the entire second m in MMO by realizing that reliance on others = friction to most players who are solo.
so they systematically diminished the entire “reliance on a guild” part of the game which absolutely negates most of the difficulty in any organized encounter.
I don’t even have 4 other friends left playing the game /frowny but even with how “not good” at the game we were as a group, what stopped us from doing M+ was the sheer boredom of repeating the content. because we knew to not overpull, not stand in bad, and press interrupts.
who finds it entertaining to do a run with people who may not know those basics? Nevermind feeling duped because in the past the ilvl meant more or less you did know those basics, where now you get that ilvl by having an npc carry you?
On top of that, imagine quitting during shadowlands and coming back to see mists and necrotic as 2 of the m+ dungeons? lolwut
waiting on a tank to grace them with their presence
I have a prot pally and guardian druid. I don’t run dungeons because of attitudes like this. I just don’t run them because I’m tired of the toxic player base. Zero interest in being treated like dirt by people with the social skills of a mushroom.
A lot of tanks are not tanking because they see you and others like you in the forums and ask themselves, “Why would I even want to play content that makes people like that so hateful?”
true, the problem is nobody really enjoys repeating the content, nevermind repeating it ad nauseum as a progression/learning experience for people in their group.
that’s why they put tank trinkets at like a 2-5% droprate to sucker tanks into “needing” to run it 20-99999 times
that’s why delves is such a trap. is someone really enjoying every delve being a 30 minute slog the 10th time they run it? Or are they not even doing them that much because they get bored after the 3rd or 4th time once capped?
is someone like “o boy o boy i can’t wait for tomorrow’s 4 bountifuls, this brann exp grind is so fun” after they don’t need delve drops?
even if delves were on their own track and infinitely scaling, are these mythical “too casual for anything except delves” players going to delve level 999 because it’s so fun?
Smells like low M+ grind for power from legion, adventure islands from BFA and choreghast from SL to me.
ah yes, the completely unprovable assertion relying on massive overgeneralization and the poet warrior having a moral quandary to press four buttons in a dungeon for 30 minutes because trolls on forums LARP as hateful edgelords.
and not that the content is stale and repetitive, relying on others pulling weight
You and others of your ilk are the face of the mythic+ community in the forums. You can try to deny this, but it is crystal clear that this is what you are doing. Why would anyone want to be like you? Why would anyone who plays for fun want to play with you, since you sound like the only fun you tolerate is bragging about your superiority and how you like to treat lesser mortals badly.
