Extreme Tank shortage

Issue is tanking was always mindlessly easy. Now its only super easy so its breaking a lot of tanks. Most legit don’t know what to do beyond hit a aoe for threat.

It’s a shortage of tanks if there’s no surplus that will average out the roles. You’re trying to convince us that in every guild there is a massive surplus of tanks, and if only all the free agent dps would join those guilds there would be no shortage, as though all those tanks you imagine are sitting on their butts with nothing to do because they have no one to tank for.

Fact: if every dps who now pugs joined a guild, that would just transfer the shortage into those guilds. It would not result in a single new tank.

Considering how they nerfed tank toolkits, they’d better be using that aoe for threat. Or you could stop ripping threat off mobs before the tank has managed to grab the whole pack.

do you ever wonder why no one takes you seriously?

ToC taught me to hold right click while falling. Doesn’t excuse the griefing, just a way to mitigate it.

Most embarrassing take award.

Bro if they changed it so that 1 of the 2 items that drop from the end of a M+ would either go to the tank or the healer, That would be good incentive to do M+

The actual subject being discussed is tanks pulling everything and leaving people behind being a toxic mindset thats apparently a wide spread problem

But its not a wide spread problem as its the defacto method used in pre-made content. Its the whole premise behind end game dungeons.

So that leaves queued content. Which was subbed as “underutilized” by Blizzard.

Ergo: nowhere near the problem youre trying to make it out to be.

Correcting misinformation is worth carrying on over imo

Much like that Druid who claims to have been tanking since TBC and blaming m+ for being toxic without having the experience to actually make an educated conclusion.

Like m+ being about precision thanks to a timer. Claiming people will leave if you dont pull the way they want. Thats not quite right. If you pull too slow, you wont make the timer. Timer is part of success. Same thing with pulling two groups that should NOT be pulled together shows inexperience and is a prelude to how the rest of the dungeon is gonna go.

As for people leaving if you dont use the optimal route? Im still trying to figure out the proper routes for Dawnbreaker to make it smooth so were not running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get the correct %

Never had anyone leave over that. Get a couple “all g” and “k” from folks and we carry on just fine.

He then goes on to mention DPS not taking any responsibility for their actions, or lack thereof…while absolving himeself of any personal responsibility or fault…and goes straight to blaming the m+ community.

How does he know they left from not pulling the way they expected if they left without a word? How did he know they left over the route when they left without a word?

Misconception and lack of personal responsibility. Am i going to stand here and say bad experiences do not happen? Of course not. But i will look at the data presented. No one said why they left. He didnt have the experience in m+ to formulate why they left. He abolves himself of any fault for why they left. And he parrotted what other people said without experiencing it himself.

Stigma and minconception created. And i will fight against that day and night

You’re jumping into water. I mean, I could use a parachute every time I jump into water, but that shouldn’t be necessary.

So little self awareness.

You’ve got a fantastic name!

Tanks want perfect DPS, so we wait xD

I’d like to see trash % in all dungeons from follower on up. If you get folks used to it early, it becomes a non issue when they start running keys.

Don’t take my word for it, just read everyone else’s comments who are posting here. Your opinion is in the minority. (And again, the forums are a representation of the whole, and not an exclusion seperation from the whole.)

And if you disagree with all of them too, then stop replying to me and go argue with them for a while. Stop wasting my time with your intellectually disingenuous replies, it’s turning into harassment at this point.

Normal people would say we’re done, that the topic has been discussed fully at this point, and has ended at an agree-to-disagree state.

We done?

Agreed, I do enjoy flapping owl while parachute, extra layer of nope.

Okay lets face the music on this one.

For every “the tank pulls too fast” thread, theres an equal recipient of " dps are pulling ahead of tanks" threads.

What you consider toxic, someone else considers fun and their preferred style.

Purely anecdotal, but of my last 1000 runs with normal heroic and m+, id say a solid 995 wanted to fastest possible option from start to end. Meaning of the 4000 strangers i grouped wirh, 3980 of them preferred what you call toxic.

Two sides of the same coin. Could make the same claim about what youre saying. Which also aligns with the examples ive outlined above.

See how that works?

We done???

I dunno, took me like 4 mins to find a tank for a +5 just now. Found that fine.

Depends, you done claiming that anyone who doesnt play the way you play is toxic?

Are. We. Done. ?

Edit: And ignored. Someone does not get the concept of agree-to-disagree.

would make their job harder a little bit. tank swapping between two tanks is pretty straight forward. 4 is twice the trouble
