Exploring Azeroth: Kalimdor early arrivals/leaks

We don;t speak of She who Thirsts around these places :wolf:

According to one Dreadlord, Night elf virgins were in short supply. Now, that extends to their whole race. Also, I don’t think Blizzard saw fit to remove that.

Who’s that?

It’s what the Eldar call Slaanesh

Giving up a piece of land that’s barely inhabited by elves in exchange for peace is a bad idea?

The only reason why it failed is because blizzard needed another faction war.

Tyrande alone isn’t going to be considered a future for the Night Elves, but thanks for your input.

I believe the Alliance would do the same as they did the last time where the Horde killed 99% of Night Elves, which would result in the last handful of Night Elves to also end up dying.

It doesn’t seem to be in Night Elf control either, especially with Rexxar and Zekhan roaming around freely.

Well, the Horde did kind of cheer for the Burning of Teldrassil and tried to kill every Night Elf they could find (especially the civilians).
Then after the genocide, they still tried to kill the remaining few in Darkshore.

Renewal could’ve happened if the souls weren’t obliterated. And Blizzard’s definition of renewal is forgiving and forgetting their abusers, but not so much actual renewal like getting their people back, repairing their lands etc…

Well, far more than 95% were obliterated, and those few that we did save don’t get revived either since Blizzard completely ignores the topic in 9.2.

Because the patch is live already on PTR and there is literally nothing related to Night Elves or their souls. We only have that stupid cutscene where Tyrande has to forgive Sylvanas or whatever.

It doesn’t feel good for me either, to see hopeful Night Elf Players and just knowing that all their hopes will eventually equal to nothing and that Blizzard will just either ignore Night Elves or make them suffer a bit more in the future.

They won’t have Tyrande’s experience, just a first-hand story told. Plus, who knows what happened in the Dark Lands. They say that Anduin became a death knight and served the same person as Sylvanas, he is a priest of Light and Darkness, priests know how to control their minds … In general, long live conspiracy theories and the attempted murder of the manipulator King! And everyone who hurt us.
Blip.
Why would the night elves try to forgive Sylvanas rather than kill her on the spot? Sylvanas’ forgiveness does nothing to stop Tyrande from indulging the wishes of her people.

It doesn’t look like there will be anything they could do. Sylvanas will be judged by the Arbiter.

Um … But she’s not dead yet. What is the point of judging a living one who will continue to live?
Tyrande may well escort Sylvanas to the Arbiter’s trial, demonstratively executing her.

She could die beforehand, and then be judged by the Arbiter, or maybe judged alive in a special case. Either way, the Night Elves aren’t going to get revenge on her.

Compared to the Forsaken losing the Undercity on their own terms.
What for? Why not kill one of the night elf massacre leaders?

The Alliance helped evacuate civilians that time. Nowadays, after the first genocide happened, why would the Alliance let a second one happen?

They aren’t roaming around freely. They are being careful of the Night Elves.

The death camp in Darkshore was removed in beta, I heard?

Not all of them were obliterated. We killed a shade full of Night Elf souls, and it was unfortunate. Many are still stuck in the Maw and need to be saved. Also, we’re talking about living Night Elves, not souls.

You don’t know how many were obliterated, and we don’t know the full story in 9.2. We just have three quest chapters.

Again, the full story hasn’t been released. Also, they may talk about it next expansion.

I hope you aren’t right about that.

Which leaders? Belmont, for example?

I mean…as a worgen player/fan…I can relate to her last sentiment on so many levels. :wolf:

Congratulations, the night elves are eternal refugees to Stormwind. “Why go back to your forests when you are always killed there? Stormwind is ready to provide you with anything - work, shelter, clothing - except for military assistance.”

He is just a leading executive. However, he can also be killed. Isn’t he that character from the (death camp) sawmill that Tyrande, for some reason, didn’t kill, but froze?
His leader, Sylvanas, will also be killed.

Actually Night Elves evacuated themselves.
And what will the Alliance do to avoid the next genocide? Occupy Orgrimmar?

Because they already let a second one happen since the first one was Garrosh’s.

Also, the Night Elves hardly make for a people anymore with their dwindling numbers, so killing a bunch of Night Elves might already do the job and make them extinct.

There’s still no reason to assume that Ashenvale isn’t contested currently, and with the Horde wanting them dead and the fact that the Night Elves can’t defend themselves anymore, I also don’t see why the Night Elves would have full control of the zone.

They still had Horde members using defeared Night Elves as target practise throwing spears at them.

And they aren’t saved. Not in 9.0, not in 9.1, and as we now know, also not in 9.2. They intentionally ignored this.

If there was actual renewal, then the souls could’ve been freed and revived by Elune, but renewal only means forgiving your abusers.

None of the other chapters have anything to do with the Night Elf Souls…

Why would they talk about the Night Elf souls in the next expansion? That’s a plot thread that would’ve been resolved in this expansion… which it didn’t since they wanted to imply their obliteration.

I know that I’m right about that, because I have been right about this every single time in the past.

I don’t have the heart to argue anymore. I will just say that you may be right.

In light of the lawsuit, a lot of the BfA stuff, and then Shadowlands, reads… really weirdly. You have the Night Elves, and Tyrande, doing basically everything right, trusting their allies, trusting that a former commander of united faction forces will take care of their people as the victor of the war, believing their allies will help them, etc.

At every turn, they’re disappointed. And so Tyrande gets angry, and the story consistently frames her as being the one in the wrong for wanting vengeance. Every single step towards reprisal is met with hollow victories and constant references to her ‘going down a dark path’. The very mindset the story praised Illidan for in Legion is now considered ‘bad and dangerous’.

It’s really, really offputting.

I wish I wasn’t, but it always turns out the worst way for Night Elves unfortunately
