You really just can’t ever say, “huh, look at that… I was wrong,” can you?

Call me crazy but I think the afk for 20 minutes grind is probably one of the most pointless and ungamelike ones i’ve yet experienced. After a day I went from kinda looking forward to this to just planning to skip it except for bag timers. The daily rewards are undertuned and recycled. The mogs are already in the game, and the elite cycle is really the only thing to farm for limited time stuff. Even so It probably wouldn’t be so bad if the 20 minute cycle wasn’t 20 minutes, the rares are probably the only thing worth farming atm so we just get the wow mobile experience of logging in every 20 minutes for our limited time reward. It’d be far better to just let people farm the rares at their own pace and play the game rather then have a timegate as content.
I do wish there were a few more daily quests to keep me busy, killed about… 4 of the rares? Bought the pet and the toy so after the cloak (which is the only unique appearance) I’ll be done. The lag is crazy but just need to tag it once.
I already knew it wasn’t going to be a huge event though, after the nerfs and with the current climate.
The feedback being there was the problem from the get-go.
What I am saying here though is if everyone actually participated, they wouldn’t be freaking out today when they were surprised by disappointment.
Do you dislike feeling this way?
Good, you can prevent this by actively being a part of the PTR cycles.
Then at least you will know what is and isn’t coming before it does.
Sounds like Blizzard aren’t the only ones who don’t listen. All this posting and you still don’t understand why people don’t like the systems in Shadowlands.
It’s like he doesn’t even read…
There is just too little to get, is the problem. Really bad rewards.
But ya, I think they should make the respawns 10 minutes for sure.
I LOVE the fact that they cycle down a list though.
Hope they can find a way to make this work elsewhere.
Its awesome to know what to expect to be up and where to be.
If they actually listened to feedback they would have pulled the ripcord like they should have a long time ago. Then they wouldn’t have had to spend as much time on these convoluted systems trying to make them work. Now most abilities aren’t even worth pressing because it would actually be a loss to do so.
No feedback asked them to do that.
Uh-huh…
So which is it?
Should people go into the PTR and provide feedback, or don’t bother because they totally listen too much?
I see you’re in line with Blizz’s consistency.
No, it doesn’t matter if people do or don’t like it. Its about every one thinking their opinion needs to be catered to.
There are going to be things that you don’t like in a video game.
But Blizzard scrambling to listen to two competing camps and having to redesign core systems 2 months from launch is why listening to feedback only gets you so far.
You’re joking, right?
If they listened to feedback they’d have seperated player power from covenants. That’s it.
Your wrong about it being the player responsibility. We’re the clients not quality control. We don’t work for blizzard.
They had a good recipie with assaults in Vale and uldum. Idk why they felt need to gimp rares and not add regular events or caches.
They have given us a very poor update that would be fine 10 years ago but falls far short of today’s standards.
Now I’m wondering if this is what Shadowlands happen I’ll be like.
You are just misunderstanding what I am saying.
Those two statements are on different topics.
I am saying if you participated in the PTR cycle, you would not be upset today.
Oh, Shadowlands is far worse than this.
Its partially the players responsibility for sure, at least for their own expectations.
The thread’s title is “expect more” but you wouldn’t have expected more if you participated in the testing of this.
That’s my main point.
That was not on the table.
I have PTR and Beta and do give feedback. Still disappointed today.
Because they don’t listen to player feedback.
We did talk about it back then, but as many things here, the issues were ignored completely. It wasn’t blown up as a huge problem, but maybe it should have been. I honestly believe some of us thought it was just a teaser into how the prepatch would turn out, as not to completely spoil us.
But then, there were also the mass complaints about the scourge event that completely drowned out all other chatter at the time.
If anything, SL delay should have indicated a little bit more time to pour love into the prepatch event. But really, that’s just been my impression of Blizzard of times past. They used to really really care about every detail. Now they slap things together sloppily and hope people will still throw them cash.
that does nothing stranger… they gave up with feedback, most of the class threads are nothing but radio silence from the 1-2 dev’s that post anything usually.
