Shaman are not new. Paladins hadn’t been on Horde either. Paladins were also not new.
They don’t need to have something added to them though. It’s okay that something doesn’t have a tank spec for once. It’s fine that it doesn’t. We don’t need to always add a tank. It’s okay to change it up.
I agree, and I never said take the dps out. Rather that was ment to counter the logic that was used to not add the tank in because other tanks have been added in.
They still get a caster

I disagree with you saying they dont need to have something added because i feel 2 spec classes becoming the norm is cutting us players out on something new, cool, and fully polished after 6ish years of waiting (and yes i spoke up about DH getting a 3rd spec before they launched, even a ranged one). It is ok for somethings to not have a tank spec but for this specific something it really made sense, is wanted, and could work. Not to mention no one loses out on anything while many others get to enjoy something new and exciting. People say save it for tinkers, but evokers is what we got. Who really guessed that was the class we were going to get? Now based on what it is, in my opinion, how is it not a tank?
None of which matters because the developers have said evokers are meant to be casters, and even if they do get a third spec, it will be another form of caster. They are casters. They are intended to be casters.
It’s not a counter arguement. It was a non-arguement.
Developers have gone back on their word before with community feed back.
Not mention any dragon tank fantasy can be covered in already existing classes, which should be added now, not later.
They could even add a tail sweep to kock down opponents behind them and give them a breath racial to cover the rest.
And there’s a whole lot of community feedback saying to keep a tank out of evoker right now. We do not need tank evokers.
Shaman could tank in vanilla and BC, not sure about WotLK
I played back then. Never seen a shaman try to tank in bc.
I beg to differ, nor do i dismiss other classes to dracthyr. Now when we ask those who don’t want it why and how its bad, the reasons just do not amount to what can be gained vs what’s actually being lost, if anything, in adding it. That’s what I really want to know and understand. If you don’t want to play it why are you trying to prevent it from being played by those who do want it? If you do want to play it, how does it affect you at all?
Yes but the “earthwarder” vibe of a Black-dragonflight tank spec is gonna kill my dream of a fourth shaman tank spec that will invariably have the same vibes so I dunno man.
There is also the fact we rarely see earthwarder powers displayed. We only have the namesake of the name, and the flights duty’s had been changed multiple times during WoW’s history.
At one point the black flights original duty is to watch over mortal races even.

Well trees in their current form are here to stay now, all their going to do is number tuning as their out of time now and have to move into raid testing.
trees are still being changed and will continue to change. Evokers specifically had some reworks in this last build
They made a use post that their mostly going to be tuning now.
Speak for yourself. I stay tanky on all my toons. Just pull everything and never worry about dying/getting dismounted. Easy peasy.
Lol, until your in a populated area where the mobs us cobstantly farmed/tagged and you slowly killing one target.
I think most people switches baised on situation, and a geared ret can aoe kill better in open world then a tank. Only issue us daze of course.
Pretty rarely happens, even on patch launch days when everyone’s on doing the same quests.
Idk I feel like a 2 spec class needs a third spec over a 3 spec class. Though I’ve always wanted a shaman tank.
