Yep, as the old saying goes:
I don’t see what’s wrong with them. We’ve had gnome DKs since Wrath.
I did address that.
Well, whatevs. We’ll see if they ever loosen the restrictions. It honestly doesn’t matter to me either way.
WoW stopped being WoW when they split the game into classic and retail after screeching that nobody wanted classic wow…that’s a going for low hanging fruit, again we literally have the dragon races about to learn other classes but other races cant learn their class? and to be fair about ALL this did not alliance not get shamans and horde get paladins AND then updated to more races learning said classes?
I mean, it doesn’t even have to be a new race. The only reason they’re hard tied to Dracthyr is because Blizzard wrote it that way.
Chop the wings/tail off the Dracthyr model, resize them to fit other races, turn them transparent and “dragon magic-y”, bring them out when using one of the spells that requires them to be present. Congrats, you’ve solved the issue of the animations not matching for everything except breaths. Add in a bunch of glyphs so you can change them to the color of your dragonflight of choice. Even better.
For breaths summon a dragon head with above transparency/dragon magic-yness ala Mage dragon breath, overlay it on the player head and play the animation with the breath originating from the dragon mouth. Animation issues solved save deep breath.
It can be done, it’s just work Blizzard probably isn’t ever going to do so visage with shifts for necessary spells acts as a compromise that allows most people to get what they want.
The Visage form is ugly. On my Dracthyr i just play as a dracthyr
Anything and everything “can” be done.
What if I want a warrior that uses shadow magic animations? But should they be done is another question.
Do you, I genuinely don’t care. Make a glyph for it, do whatever. I don’t have to use it so I’m not pressed about it.
Game would become a visual mess.
Thing is The OP is asking for something within logical reason and everyone takes that logic to the extreme and reaches as far as they can to make it sounds absurd when its not…
Because it’s a silly reason. Playing as a dracthyr just to look like another race. Visage should not exist.
Just cause you have a hard hate for the reason don’t make the reason wrong…
It’s wrong to change the aesthetics of something just because someone doesn’t like how it looks.
Would be as logical as mechagnomes being able to turn into humans to gain wider acceptance. (Least played allied race to my knowledge.)
It’s already a visual mess.
You’re trying to throw out all these gotchas to make a point, but the god’s honest truth is I genuinely don’t care what your character looks like as long as it makes you happy and I’m not forced to use your customizations. Shadow Warrior? Awesome. Undead Paladin? Cool, do you. Like, I genuinely can’t imagine being pressed about what someone else’s character looks like when those customizations are 100% optional.
You can easily identify certain classes because of how they look. And I’d like for that remain. I care what people look like because I have to find them.
Then why its allowed for other classes?
they kinda broke the seal here, it doesn’t make sense anymore, they should have being hardlocked like worgens, but now its just they being stubborn
Stubornn about this, about not giving us more visage forms, about not giving a buffy model.
I can see that being important for certain things. At the same time, someone shifting in and out of dragon form isn’t too terribly difficult to notice I’d imagine.
Yeah I’m not doing all that. I honestly love my Dracthyr form and think the Visage form doesn’t look good at all, you’re probably just an elf player upset you can’t be an elf for all your characters.
Eh don’t matter it is what it is people will forever not agree on many things even for a slight alteration to a literal illusion magic, and to be clear worgen is doing a full on transformation turning into a whole new thing cause its stronger, dracthyr are literally putting on a fancy hat out of combat and taking it off in combat when they can just leave it on and it changes nothing…there is a difference…
I don’t understand why people pick Evoker yet don’t want to be in dragon form. Makes no sense to me, but here we are now.
Do you even read what you write?
Dracthyr’s powers are tied to their form.
