Everyone should have a path to progress to max ilvl gear, EVERYONE!

Who cares about ilv inflation? Who is raiding on all 4 difficulties? I would argue most people that want to raid mythic skip LFR and Normal, they might as well not exist for them.

This argument is so easy to strike down I feel bad for doing it. No, everyone doesn’t need the best gear because not everyone has use of it. The reason the people that put forth effort get gear is because they work toward it. I am casual and I can get a few mythic raider pieces. This argument is even moreso a moot point because of mythic + where you could get gear easily.

Your argument, essentially, is like giving a teen a vast amount of wealth, but he has no idea how to use it, nor appreciates it since they never worked for it. And much like a casual, if they don’t have to work for anything, they just move on to something else. Free gear for everyone is harmful not only to casuals, but hardcore as well. If there is no purpose or challenge, there is no reason to play.

personal experience with titanforge. It doesn’t feel good when someone who has barely played got a max TF from normal and it was BiS trinket. while, having to farm mythic, heroic, normal, lfr just to pray get that lucky. (coral trinket)

it is.
it was just an issue that didn’t feel well with titan forging. I’ve also been on the receiving end of getting normal TF to mythic and getting early parses in a tier because of getting lucky.

Meanwhile anyone doing m+ will be running around in the world with 226 gear minimum and having a huge amount of damage and health above all those casuals in the open world which will soon start questioning what is the point of that separate casual progression when even at max possible casual ilvl they have half the health of mythic geared players.

In FF14 everyone gets the same ilvl eventually, just takes casuals longer.

FF14 is a WoW- CAT clone btw.

I mean, the multiple guilds i’ve been, the people i’ve done mythic + with. It’s a common thing of not liking LFR. We hate doing it, we find that people can get away with afk and get rewarded.

This is you talking about hating LFR.

it offers no true context on what the content is like because there is no real mechanics in it. It still goes back to that it still exists because its a way for everyone to see the content. No matter the level.

This is you talking about them being able to see the content.

However, it goes back to something that a majority of people in the higher end community do not think should exist. If it wasn’t a thing then it wouldn’t be a controversial discussions for years and on multiple forum sites.

Mythic+, raiding, pvp. That’s 3 avenues to get max level loot from. Mythic plus being arguably the easiest and most accessible option over time.

M+ was gutted and PvP requires rated which most people don’t enjoy.

So you think that the people who do normal - which is basically LFR without the queue system - are more important than the health of the game overall? You think the people who want to group together wouldn’t be able to do Heroic if given the chance? Heroic is really easy. It always has been. Raids aren’t designed to be cleared without a wipe.

Return Valor, and allow gear to be upgraded to Mythic Ilvl.

FFXIV does this and is more successful than BFA was.
