Everyone should have a path to progress to max ilvl gear, EVERYONE!

Its the final solution. To resolve the OP’s issue.

Its not the only one, but the differentiation that gear provides would be lost if the same stats were available via non-raiding sources.
Stripping the social value for displaying and presenting the ‘effort’ that has been the backbone of raiding since the games release.

Keep in mind that raiding is WoW.

Thats also at odds with the xmog system and systems based on appearance, titles and achievements. Gear is the unstated achievement system. the one that is on display everytime someone looks at a meter, watches a mob melt.

Not really. The people who actually participate in Mythic Raids and similar content are a tiny fraction of the playerbase. Even if they all got mad and quit (which has about a 0% chance of happening) the greater player retention of casual players would more than make up for it.

And where do you get that from? LFR gears is more than good enough to do whatever content in the game you want outside mythic raiding. If you aren’t even doing the content that specifically requires that gear why do you need it?

It’s not about needing the gear. It’s about having a measurable way to progress your character. Otherwise, why wouldn’t people just unsub once they finish the storyline and come back for the next expansion like many already do?

Then raid? That’s your method of getting that gear.

These people are part of the reason the game is dying btw

Having a solo player progression path could be fun. Just add enchants or bonuses that raise ilvl when not in a group.

It’s official, Ralph you have now been given the title of Rastlin…congratulations.

Personally I see M+ as an equally viable endgame PvE path to raiding. The problem is that M+, having no weekly lockout, became leaps and bounds more efficient than raiding as a gearing path.

Blizzard has solved this by making the rewards from M+ that are on par with raiding require the weekly chest - i.e. a weekly lockout. If you want to push keys doing only M+ you still can, it will just take longer to do so than someone who is willing to do both M+ and heroic/mythic raids. But it’s still doable using only M+.

If people are getting the best gear with little skill fewer people will do difficult content and the game will die out.

People that buy tokens and use it to buy carries should more than likely get their path of progression removed though

Who said it had to be ‘little skill’?

Blizzard, that’s what world content is.

Because it’d have to be little skill. These people wouldn’t do it if it requires effort. That’s the whole point of this post. OP doesn’t want to put effort in.

Now you two are just arguing with your eyes closed

What do you suggest?
We have normal dungeons… if those are scaled for progression then they become heroic and mythic dungeons. Which we got.

Are you talking about World Quests?
Scale World Quests until they are super tough and progress that way? Like extra tough World Bosses everywhere?

Sure that’ll be fun. Make the entire world like a tough mythic raid that you don’t have to form a raid.
Just jump in and strive to survive. Die a lot. Get rare epic drops.

I honestly can’t tell if trolling but if you’re casual what is the point of you even having the best gear if you will never see its full potential outside World Quests and doing story campaigns? You don’t need the best gear to do that.

No, just put some gear drops in Torghast, which scales from 1 to 5 players, and scales in difficulty the higher you go. They literally already have the entire system in the game, just need to add gear to it.

Torghast gear is going to be hard to get. Easier for raiders, which is paroxidical. Since you need to do group content to be good in a solo mode.

Seriously tho the base difficulty of the game is tuned was to low and they’ve needed to increase it for a long time

I don’t know boss mechanics exist until +5 keys being the first time I notice them
