Ever fix Alterac Valley?

Where are these choke points you’re taking about?

I seriously doubt it. Top rankers on my server weren’t even playing ab for the holiday, still runnin wsg.

Enjoy your 24 hour queues.

THEY WILL NEVER FIX IT BECAUSE BLIZZARD EMPLOYEES PLAY MOSTLY HORDE.

Horde players cannot emotionally tolerate the idea that it is slanted in their favor. They will deny it to their last breath because self-worth is based on the false belief that thier win ratio is due to some inherent superiority.

NO. IT WILL NEVER BE FIXED.

There are plenty of reasons why they won’t fix it. This one isn’t one of them. Sheesh. Sometimes I swear people need to feel like victims.

And you know personally exactly how many staff at Blizzard? Exactly 100% less than I do. And I’ll tell you beyond that, there is a political atmosphere in Irvine too, and if you like Alliance > Horde, then you better keep it to yourself.

I am not making this up, fyi. I actually happen to know. It is no accident that there are systemic slight advantages to horde across the board. None of them by themselves matter terribly much. Will of the Forsake is kind of OP, imo, but mainly it is the preponderance of slight advantages here and there that have the cumulative effect of “horde players are just better players” illusion.

You know. The hilarious thing about your post is that 15 years ago, everyone was positive blizzard staff favored alliance heavily.

Enjoy losing every 35 mins.

AV was much more fun on pservers despite all of the guesswork to get it right

Dont argue with Fayld. He’s a gray parsing, back pedaling, leftover who isn’t good enough to get in a premade so he zergs AV for free honor because he sucks so bad at the rest of the game.

It’s the only crutch he has left. Don’t take it from him.

I dont see how AV is broken. Each side has it’s own advantages and disadvatages

This is LOL. Were you even there? On Alliance? I don’t think so. Were you working there? No. Horde thinks Blizzard favors alliance anytime their win ratio falls below 90%.

FACT: When Alliance finally won AV, we needed to see a screenshot to believe it.

You would if alliance had a 20 second head start. Imagine alliance cave being just north of the mill next to SHGY. Wouldn’t it be fun taking SHGY with alliance ressing x20 that close to the conflict?

I was there.

I was alliance.

Of the 100 or so AV I did in vanilla I remember losing maybe 5?

I miss having no life or responsibility so I could spend 10+ hours a day playing games.

Sums it up about right.

The only FIX is AV 1.5. I would come back for that.

Alliance doesn’t play AV to win anymore. There’s no point when the overwhelming loss rate has cycled to giving up on the original purpose of the battleground, it’s a rep farming venture. That’s it. Tell yourself you’re a better player and other horde might believe you.

Tbc was 2007 jan, those posts are prolly resource and different cave AV maybe?

That’s not entirely true since the bridge is actually a very useful choke point, but it is only useful when Alliance has already lost the game. Once Horde get the choke at IWB the game is effectively over except for honor farming.
