This seems like you’re trying to rationalize it for yourself more than anything.
Do you actually enjoy doing essence acquisition over and over? Like really enjoy it, not “I’m ok because I don’t need rank 3 and the others are super easy to get.”
Never said I did. I’m just saying that this is the system in place and it’s not hard you just have to put in some time. I’ve played 1 alt this entire expansion and that was in 8.2.
This character has a total of 7-8 hours put into it at max level. I think I played it for 2 days. So in that timeframe I managed to get the character from 300ish ilvl to 421 ilvl. There is a combo of benthic/m+/lfr/pvp gear on this toon. I got enough essences in my neck so I didn’t get the YOU NEED TO EQUIP ESSENCES message. I managed to complete a mythic 6 and mythic 8 by pugging.
What more do people want for a fresh 120 alt? If you want your alt running 15+'s/mythic raiding/rated pvping then put in the time.

Never said that either. What I have been saying for the duration of this entire thread is I support character progression and not account progression.
Yes, we know that. I’m asking if you like acquiring essences or not.
Here, I’ll go first: I liked it a lot the first time. The second time I did it, I did not enjoy it. Now I don’t want to do it a third time.

Yes. I like keys, raiding, wpvp, arena, bgs and visions. I am currently working on a hunter and coincidentally it gets essences, gear, ap, currency and tmog from all those things.
Wouldn’t know. I’ve only done it fully through once as you can see on this character. If I wanted/cared to have multiple mains I would do it again as needed.
If you aren’t enjoying the content maybe you should unsub?
Account wide essences please. Let the people concerned about it ruining the aspect of an RPG create a character on an RP realm and go to Goldshire if they want to roleplay so badly.

You’re so dense…you’re not even subbed for half the year and are telling people to unsub because Blizzard is making poor choices in their game design. All these BOA designs on permanent things, and you’re sitting here crying about how BOA on a rental system is a bad thing. It doesn’t affect you if my alt can do a +15, so stop crying about it.

Why do you think Blizzard’s choice is poor? Either way - That is your opinion. You don’t speak for everyone. As I had said before I could care less what you do with your alt.

if you think this is harassing or insulting, you’re in for a treat. You’re literally the only one defending this. It’s poor because it’s not consistent. Simple as that. You can’t cater to some players and not others. That’s poor game design. You make BOA systems for collectors, and PVP players but not for PVE players.
Ty Ty. It’s actually the DH armor set they let out for HFC. It didn’t have a class tied to it though. I like the way it looks with Mage Tower fists.

Okay, then you’re fighting against people who want something without actually understanding what they want, because you haven’t done it. That’s not a very nice attitude to have.
Also, I definitely will unsub if I no longer enjoy playing this character. Not there yet, but who knows? Could get there.
