There have actually been a number of people in this thread defending it to be honest. You may want to re-read the thread. If you think it’s poor game design once again - This is your opinion.
I have shown in a post about 10 up from this one the 1 alt I played was normal/heroic raid ready and doing mythic + (I timed a 6 and an 8) in 7-8 hours played at max level. What more do you want for a fresh 120 alt? If you want to run high level content then guess what? You want multiple mains not alts. Feel free to put in the time.
I’m not daft; I understand what’s involved with getting rank 3 essences. It can take 2-4 weeks to get BIS essences. If you want a character to play at that capacity put in the time.
If you decide to unsub that is your decision. We will all see you in SL probably or maybe not at all. Cheers.
so again, you care about my account although it doesnt affect you. That’s all you’re stating. It upsets you to know that with BOA essences my character can surpass you at a faster rate.
There is no way to prove that. Even if it was the truth Blizzard has already taken a stance on essences so I’m not sure what relevance that has at this point.
Don’t get snappy now. I can guess that it’s not fun to have someone call out what you’re doing, but if you don’t like it then maybe stop fighting people over something you haven’t done and have no intention of doing.

I don’t care about your account at all. I’m not sure why you keep stating these things I’ve never said or thought. Nothing about your characters or account upset me or ever will. Not sure if you are trolling or what man lol. If it makes you feel better about yourself then feel free to continue.
I think that part of the issue in WoW is that gameplay variety is so important. At max level, WoW really does function more like a Dota or Overwatch than the design of the game wants to admit.
WoW has never actually provided many options for developing, customizing and personalizing individual characters. I like doing that, but WoW is not the game for that, and MMOs in general have trouble with it for all kinds of reasons.
Playing WoW at max level for a lot of people means playing different classes in their preferred type of endgame content. That’s why something like essences feels like such a burden to quite a few players.
Not to everybody, since some players do focus on mainly one character, or simply don’t care much about endgame content, but it feels very limiting to a certain playstyle.
I don’t know that this is actually the majority of players. It may very well not be. But it’s a decent chunk of dedicated players.
Not sure what you are calling me out on? I never said I have no intention of doing it. I just haven’t really bothered with alts this expansion as I have already stated multiple times. But to be fair I do know what is involved with getting Rank 3 essences as I have already done it. If I do decide to play alts I will go through the same motions everyone else has. I’m not sure what you are trying to get at?

People are… I honestly don’t understand why people like you are so obsessed with defending a system that was just put in. It’s clearly upsetting a lot of players since there’s a post about it everyday, yet here you are defending it for some odd reason.
Did you ever think that we actually want to play the game? That essences are turning us off from the game? Maybe we don’t want to unsub but essences are pushing us to? I really just don’t understand why or how account wide essences would be a negative thing.
Make up my mind about what? I have never cared about you, your account, or your characters. I am not sure what you are even trying to say at this point. Do you think I have some fascination with your character progression or something? I literally do not care.
I have been here from the beginning, still saying the same thing, I don’t feel character progression/power systems should be accountbound. Plain and simple. Why you keep speaking for me, twisting my words to say things I have actually never said really confuses me.
Okay, if you dont care about my account or my character. I’ll take BOA essences for my account, and you can keep the current system where you have to grind it out? deal? We’ll both be happy. You get the system you want, i get the one i want.
Flying has been upsetting people since WoD. There has been posts about flying everyday since pathfinder. Has anything changed? No.
I dont like accountwide anything as my opinion is I prefer character progression over account progression. Does it make sense for your fresh 120 alt to have access to stuff they have never done? In my opinion no it doesn’t make sense. Some people like it. Some don’t. Everyone on here has an opinion about something.
He doesn’t understand how many people are literally leaving WoW because of this type of system. People want to play the game enjoy the fun content. Whether its PVP, Mythic +, Raiding or collecting mounts. This man wants us to come home from work, to do more work. Games are supposed to be fun, not feel like a chore. I dont mind going through a storyline once, but after that… I shouldnt have to continue to repeat it.
