Error when trying to restore my deleted Paladin

Just a quick followup on this.

They think they’ve gotten this resolved, but it requires the realms restart. That should happen tomorrow with maintenance.

If anyone has been having this issue, please do try after maintenance ends tomorrow.

Oh man, this is amazing news. Thank you for keeping us updated! I accidentally deleted my VERY ORIGINAL toon, my hunter that I’ve had since classic.

BTW, when deleting multiple toons and moving quickly, sometimes the selected toon resets back to the character at the top of the list after clicking another toon.

Sorry to hear that this is still an issue for you Ohdin,

Could you please provide the following information?

  • Name and server of the character that you can’t restore
  • Approximate time / date when you tried to restore the character and received this error

Just posting here to say that trying to restore still freezes the game and crashes to the desktop. I can’t even bring up the list to see character names but it is on the Dalaran server. Already posted in the bug forum a few weeks ago.

You’ll want to post there again. Blizzard ran a patch since then so you would need to let QA know it’s still happening.

I can do that…I can’t access the deleted list at all, so that would be any character on that list, on Eitrigg. If I had to choose one, Hurne-KulTiran BM Hunter. I have tried everyday since the service was turned back on, so that would be at approximately 5a.m. EST.

Done that tenfold already.

I don’t know why yours wouldn’t be showing, however I see a ton of characters with that exact same name of various levels - including two that match exactly - both hunters, both level 70. The only difference is one was created far earlier than the other. One from 2012, the other from 2024.

Posting in Bugs might be useful. I suspect something else may be going on with this one.
